I have a Kenwood stereo receiver model k2 3600 , the left speaker keeps going out , the right speaker works fine. I've tried adjusting the speaker wire for the left speaker, and I always end up having to adjust the wire again , then it works fine for a while . What can I do to fix this problem from happening again?

HI,
BASED ON THE INFO YOU GAVE I HAVE SOME SUGGESTIONS BELOW..

1, switch the working right speakers cable to left output and problem left to right (from the back of receiver -not from the speakers it self..) to see if problem continues..

2.After switching them ,if it (old left new right one ) still stops left speaker cable may have short ( a tiny cable inner pieces may touching to other side ) at either at the back of receiver output or at the end ,at speaker input .
make sure you control it carefully...if the problem persist please contact to me..

Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up

Hope this helps!

No sound on right side speakers on A&B.Sound does work in test mode. Right side Chanel is working, just no sound on right side front in all input modes. I'm a amateur when it comes to stereos.

Go to "menu/Setup/Speaker level" and adjust the balance of L-R.See page 21 of the manual:

Yamaha rx 530 center channel cuts out

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

I've tried using the balance for left and right speakers, and when the receiver is acting up with the right speaker having a low volume, I tried moving the balance all the way over to the right speaker. The right speaker volume will not increase in volume but the left speaker will decrease in volume.

Just to clarify, the center and the rear speakers are balanced. The issue only happens sometimes when I first power on the receiver I will have no center channel. If I leave everything alone for a few mins, the center channel will come on.

So it seems to me that something one the receiver is going. The question is, can anyone suggest a physical repair for the receiver for these symptoms?

Thanks

Installing aftermarket Kenwood stereo on 1991 Subaru Legacy. The subaru stock wiring does not have a red ignition wire. Can i simply connect the kenwood ignition wire to the Accessory +12v (Yellow/red)?...

Hi, according to my source, there should be an accessory wire that is blue with a yellow stripe. If your is yellow/red, that's fine. You actually should prefer an accessory wire to an ignition wire as there may be less static on the accessory wire. Just make sure the wire does not have power when the key is off. Don't use the illumination wires--they are not needed for the aftermarket head unit and should be taped off.

I do not know how to wire nenwood kdc-422 to a 94 buick century?

You should have a wire harness pigtail that comes with your kenwood.
you can also purchase a harness adapter plug/pigtail at most audio auto stereo shops to fit your car make and model.
Be sure to save the packaging because the plastic bag has the color/codes for the harness. This harness is designed to plug right into the factory plug inside the dash just like the stock radios do.
All you need to do is splice the kenwood cables to the adapter plug pigtail you purchase for your car.
match up each wire as described here:

Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow

Stereo wiring chart

If you go to anyplace that installs car stereos you can purchase an installation harness that will connect directly to your factory harness in your car. That way you would only need to wire your Kenwood harness to the instllation harness and that is just a matter of matching colors from the Kenwood harness to the installation harness. All you need to do after that is plug it in.

The wiring on the Kenwood harness is as follows:

yellow = constant 12 volts
red = ingnition (12 volts when key is turned on)
black = ground
white = front left speaker positive
white w/black stripe = front left speaker negative
grey = front right speaker positive
grey w/black stripe = front right speaker negative
green = rear left speaker positive
green w/black stripe = rear left speaker negative
purple = rear right speaker positive
purple w/blackk stripe = rear right speaker negative
blue = power antenna
blue w/white stripe = remote amp turn on
brown = phone
orange w/white stripe = illumination
