I need an assistance to install my printer Lexmark x1270 to my computer.

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X1270 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.
For the Lexmark OCR scan software, it is only available on the Lexmark installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

Scanning documents to PDF file on your Lexmark X1270 printer requires the Lexmark OCR scan software installed on your computer. If you don't have the installation disc that came with your printer, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

Try to use the driver from the Lexmark website. Click on this link Lexmark X1270 Drivers. Select your operating by clicking on change OS.


Click on FILTER


Click on the driver under Recommended Downloads. Download, execute the file and follow the instructions in the software.

I suggest not to plug the Lexmark X1270 printer to your computer yet. If you have the installation cd, insert it in your computer and install the software. I recommend not to plug the printer to your computer yet. Try uninstalling by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > All Programs/ Programs > Lexmark 1200 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. There are Lexmark X1270 drivers for Windows operating system available for download in the Lexmark website. Unfortunately, the printer is not compatible with Macintosh operating system.
