Why is my pages printing blank from both copier and PC documents
Problem for Canon imageCLASS MF6530 Monochrome Laser Copier Printer
Mf6530 always says platen glass dirty but I've even cleaned both sides
My canon mf6530 keeps flashing platen glass dirty error even though I've cleaned it several times including unscrewing the brackets and cleaning the under side.

Found the solution at http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=239&modelid=13170&kbpage=yes , then enter "clean platen glass" in the search window, and select item #1 "ERROR LCD: PLATEN GLASS DIRTY, CLEAN PLATEN GLASS ". This gives step-by-step instructions on how to clean the area dealing with the platen glass.
