The 8525 is a Microsoft Windows based device, I've found Contacts getting loaded onto my phone through the following conduits:
by entering them manually
ActiveSync with MS Outlook
download with Windows Live/Hotmail Live contacts if you've set it up as an email account on your phone.
I think my old Hotmail contacts were uploaded into Hotmail Live and back down with my Windows Live account onto my phone, and now the same with Windows Live Mail (Hotmail replacement).
There may be other software solutions and fee based 3rd-party services on the web that will import contacts from web based email, just search for "import contacts into WM6".
Depending on your computer skills, there are sites that give instructions on import/export and file manipulation in order to get contacts onto your phone.
For security reasons, I wouldn't recommend any software/service that wants you to upload contacts to their site.
Yes, it does, for calls, phonebook, and data. I just upgraded from the tmobile Wing to the tmobile Touch Pro 2 which does not work for data on the tom tom 930T. If you have a problem still try the Xda-developers site look in the HTC Herald forum that is the HTC name for the Wing same phone... and get a custom rom for your phone.
You need to have the network setting setup on the phone by your carrier. even though the phone is unlocked the current network setting are for t-mobile. if your not using t-mobile most of that stuff wont work.
ok first you need microsoft sync on your pc second you need to download the wing update from t mobile it will walk you through the process the bars you are seeing means it is in flashing mode this software will fix the problem any questions e mail me at email@example.com
If you still have tmobile as a carrier, call them and tell them you are going to India or somewhere where there Tmobile doesn't have a big presence. Tmobile will unlock your device for free. As long as you have been a customer for 30 days or so.
