My ipod screen is completely blank and will not turn on despite the fact that i have tried to reset it multiple times. The ipod does not appear in itunes which returns a message stating that "an ipod has been detected but could not be properly recognized (error 1601)". I have found the ipod in my device manager, where it lists the device as Apple Recovery (DFU) USB Driver. Please can someone tell me how to fix this problem as the apple support site is of little help and I'm at my wits end.
Have u solved this problem already?
ive got this problem now too and dont know how to solve it.

Sounds like you have an error on your hard drive. Either fomat your hard drive in FAT32 or replace it for a new one.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!
