How do I download pictures from my digital video camera to my computer.
I install the CD-ROM that came w/camera and used the USD driver as instructed. The pictures came up on the removeable disk drive 'F' (all picutures were good). The problem is I want to put them onto Craigslist so I can sell an item. I have tried sending them to another email, however, they come out huge and I can't figure out how to get them small (they take up the whole screen). As you can tell, I'm not computer smart. Can anyone of you be so kind and help me out with these problems? Thank you!
Also, just to let you know, I have windows 98 and use a modem.
It's a Traveler DV 5040 , 5.0 mega pixel digital video camera.

Re: How do I download pictures from my digital video...
This is a good question for Mike258. He is very good with imaging, and recently helped me with some pics. You can find him in the find experts section on Fixya's home page. Once you find him, you can ask him directly, or at least it will go to his askers column and he'll get back to you in a reasonable amount of time. Tell him Pyrhyc refered you.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Use a desktop computer to copy the contents of the bundled printer CD-ROM to a thumb drive. If a second computer with a CD-ROM drive is not available, go to your printer manufacturer's website and download the appropriate drivers to your netbook's hard drive. Specific instructions may vary depending on your manufacturer, so read and follow instructions provided on the website. Insert the thumb drive into your netbook. If you downloaded the drivers instead, follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation. Open the file browser and click on the USB drive. Click on "Install" or "Setup." Follow the on-screen instructions for driver and software installation. Connect your printer to your netbook using a USB cord. Some software setups will automatically recognize the printer and launch a setup wizard. If a setup wizard does not start automatically, on your task bar choose "Start" and then "Printers and Faxes." In the window that opens, double click on "Add Printer." Click "Next" in the printer wizard window. A new frame appears asking you for the type of printer that you would like to initialize. Choose "Local Printer" and click next if your printer is connect through the USB port. Choose "Network Printer" if you want to use a printer installed on your network. Click "Next." Click the name of the printer you are using in the list. Click "OK" Choose "Yes" when prompted to choose whether or not you want to use the printer as your default printer. Click "Next." Click "Finish." Hope it helps. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Find-and-install-printer-drivers
Please be informed that any hardware device needs a driver software to run within a PC, and the driver software depends on the Hardware Make/Model and the Operating System software you are using in your PC to operate it.You will get the Driver software of any hardware within the CD provided with the hardware part at the time of its purchase. The hardware may be an entire PC,Laptop,VGA card, sound card, LAN card, webcam, printers, scanners etc. If you do not have the CD or misplaced it somewhere then you need to download the driver software to get going. Thus you need to know all the above information to get the exact software your PC needs. As you have not mentioned the make of the webcam you are using, i am unable to give you the direct download link.
However you can download the same by just visiting the company website's download section that manufactured the product.
The best way to get the drivers that you need is from the manufacturer website. Another possible way is to download drive checker or another similar software to locate and download missing drivers automatically.
1 Insert your driver disk into the CD/DVD ROM drive. The disk should automatically boot. Then follow the on-screen instructions. This usually entails clicking on "Install" or "Install Sound Driver."
2 Download the sound driver specific to your card and Windows XP. Driver websites include Drivers Kit, XP-Drivers and Driver XP. Locate the make and model of your card. Click on the manufacturer and then select the "Download" link.
3 Double-click on the sound driver. The application will go through a setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions.
1 Click on the "Start" menu. Select "Control Panel," then scroll to "Add Hardware" and click to open. Sometimes, the automatic installation does not work properly. You will then need to install the sound drivers manually.
2 Read and use the "Add Hardware Wizard." Click the "Next" tab. Windows XP will scan your computer for components.
3 Scroll down the list to "Audio Drivers" or "Sound Drivers." Then click "Next." Select the "Finish" tab. Another window will appear.
4 Select the "No, Not This Time" option on the "Hardware Update Wizard." Click "Next." Choose the "Install from a List or Specific Location" button. Then click the "Next" tab again.
5 Place the sound driver disk in the CD/DVD ROM. Point the "Search Option" to your CD/DVD ROM or download folder. Click the "Include This Location to Search" box. Type in the path to your download folder or select the "Browse" option. Search through the computer to choose your download application. Click "Next."
6 Wait until the file installs. This takes approximately two to three minutes. Turn up your speakers and reboot your computer
First I suggest you install Windows XP but you need the Windows installation CD and the product installation code. Second, the USB ports and therefore the CD ROM drive will not work until Windows XP has been installed, unless the BIOS supports the USB ports and you can make the USB port/CD ROM as the first boot device. After installing Windows you need to install the ThinkPad's device drivers.
The same model ThinkPadcan have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless youknow exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download allthe drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver.
When you download thedrivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a recordof which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files arelocated on your hard drive.
Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEBsite - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista devicedrivers for your model computer, Use this link: -
You can download thevarious drivers and then you click on and run the various driver files, theywill then unzip and expand into a sub folder on C:\drivers Then install thevarious drivers from this folder (run the set-up file).
