I can not seem to find a cross reference for a GE motor Part # 5KCP39GGD197AS. Can anyone give me advice?

Your not going to like to hear this , but you'll need to take the dash apart !

Preliminary Procedure
  1. Remove the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
Preliminary Procedure
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove the evaporator tube from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement .
  4. Remove the heater hoses from the heater core. Refer to Heater Hoses Replacement .
  5. Remove the brake pedal bracket assembly. Refer to Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement .
  6. Pull back and reposition the carpet.
  7. Remove the lower instrument panel (I/P) support brace. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Support Bracket Replacement .
  8. Reposition the auxiliary air distribution duct. Refer to Auxiliary Air Distributor Duct Replacement .
  9. Remove the instrument panel carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement .
  10. Disconnect the HVAC module assembly electrical connectors.

Tip
Tighten the nuts in sequence.

A/c blower motor works if I pull power and plug back in until I cut engine off. Then I have to repeat process


Daryl, You may want to check the blower relay/ just switch with one of same type and try and if OK, problem could be the blower motor, wires/plug loose,damaged,burnt or a faulty blower motor resistor. Second link has some trouble shooting of a overheating wire problem, that is to be common in these trucks. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

I need to find replacement parts for a Magic Chef propane furnace model EG6E80. How can I cross reference them with other brands?


good luck, what parts do u need, most of them can be re placed with other furnace name brands, like ignitor, blower motor, gas valve, pressure switch, ignitor board, transformer, ventor motor, they have replacement for all those parts, remember most companies use the same parts

Why does blower on A/C sometimes work and sometimes don't on my Saturn 2007 aura


Blower motor control processor would be a good guess but I'm not in the guessing business , you need to test power an grounds for lose connections or corrosion , check for DTC'S in the HVAC control panel an if none , there are three different diagnostic flow charts from Saturn service info .

Does the blower motor operate at the desired speeds?

  1. Disconnect the harness connector of the blower motor control processor.
  2. Measure the voltage between the battery positive voltage circuit and the ground circuit of the blower motor control processor.
Does the voltage measure within the specified range?
10-14 V yes / no

  1. Connect the blower motor control processor.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector of the HVAC control module.
  3. Measure the voltage on the blower motor speed control circuit.
Does the voltage measure within the specified range?
4.5-5.5 V

Test the control circuit of the blower motor control processor for a high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. the heat and a/c won't work


needs a new blower motor which comes with a built in reostat ,expensive ,and its a job and a half to fit ,best advice ask a local mechanic to confirm ,grandad in alicante spain

How do I replace blower motor for heat and air conditioning, the blower is under the dash board



Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the right side sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the blower motor.
  4. Disconnect the blower ventilation tube (2) from the module.

  6. Remove the blower motor screws (1).
  7. Remove the blower motor from the housing.
Installation Procedure
    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
  1. Install the blower motor into the housing.

  3. Install the blower motor screws (1) .
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

  5. Install the blower ventilation tube (2) to the module.
  6. Connect the blower motor electrical connector (1) .
  7. Install the right side sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
