Hi my pc boots and fans are spinning like normal

You need to check the monitor also. The LED monitors do not last as long as the old CRT's. Also try a different cable. The LED monitors I have had usually stop working without warning. They will turn on but cannot display a picture.

I have this problem about my monitor, every time i open my computer a horizontal lines appear on my screen, my monitor is BenQ a flat screen ... can anyone tell me what happen and how to fix it ...thanks...

Could be multiple different issues here.

1) Your video card is getting old or if you recently replaced it may not work with your current PC.

2) Degauss your monitor using the settings directly on the monitor.

3) Download the latest drivers for your video card and mess around with the display resolutions as the card may not support your current resolution.

4) Your monitor itself may be the culprit and you need to send it in for repair.

If your still having issues, provide me a few more details about the problem and I may be able to further assist you.

How to upgrade E520 to dual monitor output? Could I just buy a dual port monitor card and plug into any slot and ignore the single port which is on-board?

Yes, you can. The one on the motherboard will then become a secondary. You will need to ensure that when you install the hardware that there is an open slot. When that is installed then boot into windows and install the drivers for the new video card. this will then tell the computer to ignore the VGA adapter on the motherboard and make the new video card primary. Thanks, Cody

I have an acer AX1700 which boots up but does not give any signal to the monitor.all lights are on from the computer as well as the monitor but the monitor stays black. cables are plugged in...

Before you buy a new graphics card, please try the monitor on another computer. If it's works on another computer, you need to troubleshoot the your machine.

Bring another monitor to your computer and connect it, if it works, then there's no problem with your graphics card. Must be startup or interfaces problem.
(Note: do all the connections before you power on the computer and leave your monitor On before your switch on the computer.)
If another computer works on your computer, then replace with a new display cable (vga/hdmi/dvi which suits your monitor).
Do let me know after you are done all these.

Good luck.

Computer works for a bit then the whole screen turns to pixels. we bought this pc brand new about 3 months later started showing images pixel up, noe the whole screen turns to pixels..and cant see nothing...

Well, the first thing you can try is replacing the monitor cable or monitor, and that is less expensive. If it still gives you trouble, you may need to see about replacing the video card; there are modestly priced, reliable ones that are relatively easy to install, yourself. I'd recommend installing the new VC after taking out the old one, just because your system will be happier. Then see if after any of these steps, the monitor isn't working better.
If it still presents a problem, it may be an issue with the motherboard, which means basically replacing the whole system, for the cost and time involved, depending on your motherboard.

Tower not sending anything to my monitor

If you have recently added another graphics card to replace an ON-BOARD one then you would have to tell the BIOS that you had done that and wanted the new display card to be the main one.

If on the other hand you are trying to use two monitors you would tell your graphics card to do that using the software that you installed with the graphics card.
If you have a dual output monitor you may want to also check with your driver software that it too knows which is primary display

If however you are trying to send the picture to a TV then you need to give everyone a chance by telling them how.

If you have access to another monitor and you still get no display after all the above then it could well be that the card has died
