Question about Archos Gmini 402 Digital Media Player
When I attach via usb the GMini 4002cc to a pc or Mac, the system states the HDD isn't formatted.
Anyway the Archos OS still works and can reproduce existent files (most of them are corrupted btw).
The firmware version is 1.5.12 (last one available)
I got rid of the problem on my own, please read below how I solved it.
Basically, the partition of hard drive was still there but with corrupted data about its files indexes. With a free HDD rescue tool I was able to identify the partition and fix the problems regarding its corrupted indexes (file allocation table and toc).
After fixing the problem, the device became fully working and there's no data loss.
