Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54GS Router (e125894)
My D-Link DIR-615 wireless n router has a gateway of 192.168.0.1. I type this into the URL, and it won't work. I can access this router from every other computer on my network by doing this. It isn't the wireless card, because I've tried doing it with multiple wireless cards. I also cannot access files from other computers. My operating system is Windows XP Media Center. I've already tried turning the firewall off. The internet on my computer works fine. I can change the IP address of the wireless card on this computer, so apparently the router sees the computer fine. My wireless is suddently not available. I used to trouble shoot from http://192.168.1.1/ but this page can not be displayed?
Open your router, in the IP settings make sure your IP range is set from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.10 this will give you 10 different IP address so that all computers will be able to connect with their own individual IP's. provided you have less than 10 machines
This is unusual to have this IP, most have 192.168.100 Do this to confirm your IP, on the computer that you have the wireless router connected to hit start-run-type in CMD when the command prompt box opens type in "IPCONFIG" this will tell you what the computer has for all you settings if they do not match the router make the necessary changes in the router.
