What box should i use for alpine swr-12d2

What size box does this sub need in a sealed box & a ported box. If you have room use a ported box that fits your subs. Probox & other brands may have the perfect box for them. I would tune the box to 40hz if you like loud tight bass.

What size amp do I need for my two 12" d3 subs?

I have 2 12 inch D3 subs and im running the D3 600.1 the subs are 400 watts RMS so 2 = 800 watts RMS, but the 600.1 is way underrated!!! I had an older (before they were sold at walmart) Pioneer 800.1 that was not even close to the power of the D3 600.1. My D3's are pushed almost to their limit with my 600.1! I have had 2 dial back the bass knob a few times depending on the song! The amp is a little expensive but it's worth every penny! And don't forget the box you have is almost as important as the amp you choose. I'm using one of the new B-BOX boxes, the best way to explain it is it's like a 50/50 box, it is ported so it has the boom of a ported box, but it also has baffles in it and by the time the baffles are done the boom is real clean and tight. Good luck and hope to here you form blocks away!!!

I have 2 of these brand new in a ported box in my

this could be your connection to the amp .make sure the positive leads from the sub are on the positive terminals on the amp .first try one sub alone and then connect the other one .with the second one try swaping the terminals but if your using quality products you woudnt have to just connect the leads to the terminals the belong to .positive on positive and negative on negative

I have a brand new L7 is it blown?

check to make sure your box is securely sealed and that the box itself is not rattling. if not, most subs require a break in period where they can not be played full gain/full volume for the first 48 or so hours... did you break in your subs by paying it softly the first day and slowly turning your amps gain and receivers volume up the next couple of days. if not, it is likely blown

5 stage band pass sub box, 1 sub stolen, box built to spec subs

I would try walling it up unless you are going to buy 2 brand new subs. the problem is the older power subs had such small magnets so they needed alot less air space inside the box. Unless you can find the EXACT subs this box was made for I would recommend chopping it and doing a single sub. if you try a replacement sub go with the 12" P1 series they are a close match for the power 12's of the past.

Popping

If you Wire the 13 w7 in parallel you get 0.75 ohms which this amp is incapable of handling, that's why your speaker is popping. Be carefull cause this setup could ruin both your amp and sub. You have to wire that sub in series so that the amp "sees" a 3 ohm load which it's best suited for.

DHD ntx6408 subs

Voice coil has been blown open. Most likely alot of times what I do to test a speaker is connect it to a 9 volt battery. on and off and the speaker should bounce. If not speaker is blown. Plus this way you could save yourself lots of problems. If the speaker was shorted and not blown open. You would now possible have a blown amp and home stereo.
