Without knowing what brand or model pressure washer you have, as a general rule:

If you're talking about the gas motor, it usually takes 10W-30, 5W-30 or 10W-40 motor oil, depending on the temperature range in your area. 10W-30 is a good all around oil to use.

If you're talking about the water pump, if it's an oil bath pump, use a straight 30 weight, non-detergent motor oil.

Where is the oil dipstick located?

Check your owner's manual. In my 2007 BMW X3 , there is no dipstick but the oil is checked electronically on the dashboard. I think it's kind of stupidly complex, but many people don't know how to open the hood, I guess!

Don't know where to poor my oil in my 1981 ford f100. there is not filler tube

there shouldn't be a filler tube, just a dipstick tube for checking the oil level. to put the oil in the engine, there should be a oil cap on the right hand side valve cover. if the dipstick tube isn't there, you definitely need to get one from a parts yard or store, you can be losing oil from the dipstick hole that goes to the oil pan...

John Deere G049K Snow Thrower Service Repair

An older snowthrower will make some noise, but it depends on what kind of noise you are hearing. A "growl" is not common and can indicate the gearbox is low of oil or the oil needs to be changed. The gearbox is mounted on the back of the snowthrower and there will be a dipstick on top. There should be oil on the dipstick, and it should be kind of thick. Proper gear lube is 80-90, and should be a gold color. Also check to make sure the auger bearings are not going bad. You can grab ahold of the auger while the machine is off and try to wiggle it. If it moves at all the bearings will have to be replaced. Start there and let me know if you need anything else, Daniel.

Where is oil plug to change oil, how much and what kind. It is a 6.25 hp 22 inch self propelled Murray Select Quantum.

They do not have a drain plug. You need to remove the dipstick and tip the mower dipstick side down while putting a container under it. After it has drained right mower and refill to full mark on dipstick with sae 30 engine oil. It will take approximately 600 mls. Regards Phil

How minny quarts of oil dose a 96 olds aurora hold

A typical automobile holds 4-5 quarts of oil.....Depends on the size of motor. If changing yourself, Drain out all oil, change filter, put oil plug back in. Put 3- 31/2 quarts back into car. put oil cap on and start car. Let run for 2-3 minutes then shut back off. Wait for a few. Pull out dipstick wipe, put back in then pull out a second time...Now you know how much you need to top off level.

I have a briggs 10 hp 392 cc industrial engine in my 67' simplicity landlord garden tractor. The dipstick was replaced with a plain oil plug so there is no way for me to check the oil level. I need to know...

Are you sure the dipstick was replaced with a plug? In most engines of this size, there is no dipstick. There is a plastic oil plug sticking up at a 45 degree angle from the crankcase. You unscrew it to check the oil - you can put your 5th finger in there to see if the oil is up to the lower rim of the hole - and you also add oil through the same opening. Draining the oil is done through a different, usually metal plug, lower down on the crankcase. Hope this helps you!

Bought a 2004 CBR600 RR how do i check and add oil

Oil should be changed every 2 to3K miles. Anytime i buy a used bike i drain the oil right away cause u never know what might be in there...I recommend Castrol Syntec Actevo 10-40 wt. motorcyle oil..buy 4 qts...Put bike level on level ground and after you have drained oil and spun on a new filter...put in 2 qts...then check dipsticks (crisscroos marks on bottom of dipstick should be covered in oil when oil is full) slowly top off checking dipstick frequently so as not to overfill...proper dipstick check is to unscrew stick, wipe it off and reinsert without screwing it in, when oil is to top of crisscross you are full...My friends 2002 F4 has a sight glass NOT a dipstick so incase that's what you have watch oil level in sight glass (should be 1/2 to 3/4 full) Drainplug is under engine and is 17 mm...Good Luck to you friend....Tim

Transmission Fluid Specs

Castrol Syntec motorcycle 10-40wt is what i woul recommend and you have a dipstick. So if you have drained the old fluid start by pouring in 1 qt. then check the dipstick w/ bike level on level ground. Then add a little oil at a time until full..If you have a sightglass instead of a dipstick then fill half to 3/4 up the sightglass. Buy 2qts while your at the store...good Luck to you friend...Tim
