How can I fix the lens? It's stuck.... :(

Hi
I lent my camera to my little brother, and I just got it back. He dropped the camera to the floor while the lens were open. Now it's stuck.
Should I give up and buy a new camera or is there anyway to fix it?
Please help!!
Thanks!

There is no way to fix on your own. You would have to send into Casio.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I dropped my Polaroid i735 Digital Camera once and the screen has been blurry...even the pictures turn out blurry. Is there any way to fix the screen?

You dropped it only once? Hmmmm ....

I don't think the problem is with the screen.
It's more like the lens can't focus properly anymore, and there is nothing you can do to fix it.

I'd take it to my local camera repair place, and give them the classic:
"Don't ask me what happened. I lent it to my baby-brother, and he said the camera worked OK."

They just may give you a free estimate.

Dropped the Camera, Lens is stuck open

I already tried posting this but I think it falied. Just in case, here it is again!

I just now fixed my own Nikon S220 (very similar to 210) which suffered the same fate as yours. However, I laid my camera down on a cushioned foot-rest (you could use a couch cushion or pillow on a table) with the lens facing UP, pressed down on both sides of lens front gently yet firmly, and BAM, the lens went back in all the way. I turned the power back on and the camera is good as new (except for the small dent from the fall of course).

I suggest you try this before spending $100 on repairs and/or buying a new camera!

Ixus 400 ei8 after water damage lens stuck !

if the camera still works ....but the problem is the lents do not came out ...its either the engine or just needs to be cleaned and a little fine mechanism oil ...the kind used on sewing machines..:P...
if you can her the noise made by the little engine that drives the lents ..it means that they are just stuck..and opening it with care and oiling it carefully and not too much will solve ...but from water ..that little bugger might be fried...

Lens is stuck

Try to find the part that is not straight and just pull on it a little to straighten the lens out and it should work. I did it to my camera and it works just fine now.

My brother was playing around and moved lens and it started to work again. If lens looks a little crooked try moving it or putting it straight. Hope it helps

Lens popped out and says i need to restart it?!

cameras & hard floors are never a good combo. Im no help, except to say that if it were mine, I'd email the camera manufacture that question, and I'm sure they'll provide some useful info.

Casio lens stuck

I noticed that the lens was sticking out on center. After pushing it a little, it clicked and then everything worked fine again. I hope that's what happens for your camera, too.
