Dacor ECS227 It appears tha that the electronics cooling fan turns off too soon. While cooking, the control panel facia is cool to the touch, but after turning the oven off, the facia panel gets very hot, almost too hot to touch (60 deg c?). Where is the sensor located? can it be adjusted? What is the part number? Jim

Thanks for comments posted by Ginko, but I had already been on the RepairCLinic.com site. I went back and couldn't find the exploded view he was talking about.
Also secoiond site suggested; Parts Select site, does not have Dacor listed as parts available.
I'd really like to know where the sensor is that lets the cooling fan turn off/on after the oven is turned off. ALso for My Model number DAcor ECS227SCH, what is the proper part number for the sensor. And how to tell if the sensor is bad.

AS I said before, PartsSelect does not appear to offer anything associated with Dacor ovens, neither parts not exploded diagrams. If any one out there can post th specific link, it would be very helpful.

I try to set the clock on the oven but pressing the CLOCK touch pad or the TIME-TEMP pad has no affect. It is completely nonresponsive.

It sound like the board is faulty, its quite common after power surges can cause damage to small circuit boards like clocks, I would recommend changing it as the clock will also provide timing for switch on at a set time cook for time as well.

In some cases I have had to replace both the touch pad and power relay board. Expensive! HOWEVER, I have, on occasion, found the wide ribbon from the touch pad to the relay board to be at fault. I have not found replacements for these as of yet. I have been able to "open" the ribbon to clean the contacts within and reassemble it to find everything working. Needless to say, my clients have been extremely happy with my ability to do so, saving them thousands if having to replace the entire unit.
I found the bad connection when the lighting was dim and I saw a "flash" at the point ribbon it inserted in the end piece. Hope this helps.

Im getting this message u60 cooling fan can some one tell me the meaning? Thanks

There is a small fan you should be able to hear blowing when the oven has been hot for a while. The fan keep the electronic controls cooler so they won't be damaged by the heat.

DACOR IS A PEICE ****

The hi limit thermostat probably tripped during self clean. It can be manually reset. Turn off the power and remove the grill under the control panel. There is a two wire switch behind the door latch press in the red button on the switch. Reassemble and turn on the power. If it works you can reset the cooling fan to run longer which could cure your problem. Press and release upper broil button, press and release the up arrow, then hold down the broil button until it reads COOL 000. Press the up arrow until it reads COOL 200. Press cancel. Done.

COOLING FAN DOES NOT STOP AFTER HOURS

Hi I am Vortash the cooling fan must be controlled by a thermostat , it appears that it has a problem on it and is not shutting off .
They are usually normally open contact switches that are on the top or the side of the oven ,they heat up close the connection and turn the fan on . yours sounds as if it is sticking . Other ovens are controlled by a rheostat a long tubed thermostat that goes to a main control consul on the oven , it controls the fan and responds to what the stat tells it .
It may be this controller is not turning the fan off afterwards , my suggestion is that unless you are electrically trained you get the help of a service engineer to check your oven out .... regards Vortash

Our Dacor Millennia wall oven will not heat

There is a manual reset button behind the vent under the touch pad. Turn off the power. Open the door. Remove the vent. Behind the latch is a two wire switch. press the red button on it until it clicks. reassemble and turn on power. It over heated when the power went off by stopping the cooling fan.

Display reads U60 Cooling Fan - oven won't heat

I got Dacor to give me the number sequence -- - push "cancel" and "#" at same time - when screen asks for "service ID" enter "S1234" (get "S" by pushing "7" 5 times) - screen will list "U60 Cooling Fan" as number 1, so select "1" - select "clear all", this should clear the error - hit "cancel" to get out of that screen
Hope this works for you! Best suggestion I have is DON'T BUY DACOR!! We also own their 30" dishwasher, which has been a nightmare experience as well.

Exterior surface of oven gets hot when turned off

What do you mean by very hot? Is it too hot to touch? Hot enough to sizzle when a drop of water is put on it?
