I have a set of two Midland LXT420, made in China. One of them have suddenly stop working, doesn't turn on. And about a month after, the second one went OFF. Both batteries are charging till 5.9 yo 6.1 Volts and when unplugged they drop the charge to 5.6 to 5.8, then they hold the charge. I check 12 hours later and the batteries were charged. I install the batteries in other Midland 2W radio and did work just fine. In the manual there is no indication of possible error other than batteries check, when it comes to device not turning on. I am wondering if there is any hint about what could be wrong. There is actually any warranty or repair services that I can send the devices and have a repair quoted? Any help and/or information will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Robert

It is likely a fuse inside the radio that is open, or possibly some poor solder connections. I would call whoever you purchased them from and have them take a look.

SOURCE: midland radio battery pack constant vibrate

Hello pjbracht, I just responed to a duplicate of your problem. If they are new, return the battiers and confirm they are "by the book" replacements. If so ask for replacemrnts with a higher mAhr. It is not correct for vibration from a battery pack, lead, NiCad, Ni-MH, period.

The batteries have likely been damaged from being on the chargers too long. Try trading a known good battery into the non-working radios and see if it/they will work with a good battery. If so, replace your batteries, and then only put the radios on the charge when they need a charge, such as after the radios have been used 8-10 hours. Longterm charging can quickly age batteries. Life expectancy of a battery is 18-24 months with good care.

Best regards.

How do you silence the squelch on the recieving radio on a midland lxt420?

Turn the squelch knob either clockwise or counterclockwise until the noise stops. Go no further than just where it stops. If that doesn't work there may be a defect. If there's no knob, look in program options for "squelch" and set it progressively higher until the noise quits, but just far enough that it quits.

Constant static midland walkie talkie

Doesn't it have a squelch adjustment?(it allows you to adjust sensitivity of the "gate" on the receiver).Turn the knob counter-clockwise until it just goes quiet. The receiver will be silent until a transmission is detected.

Wii doesn't work after a month

It is best if you return it for a warranty repair or replacement in this case as any attempt to repair or open this unit will void your warranty.

It should be under a 1-3 year warranty for your type of product so you should be safe returning this item unless it was purchased second hand.

My midland weather radio wr120 makes a loud beep about every 30 to 45 minutes. what is causing this?

I just caught mine in the act and the message was "BAD RECEPTION" - but it doesn't stay on the display very long, if you don't catch it right when it beeps, you'll miss it.

My Midland WR120 just started beeping today and I can't figure out why by looking at the Owner's Manual. It beeps every five to ten minutes, one beep. No alarm is set, I have it set to notify me...

According to Midland's support staff, this happens if the radio goes for 10 days without a weekly test signal from NOAA. To stop the beeping, simply turn off the power switch on the right side of the radio for a few seconds (if yours has it), or unplug the radio and remove one battery, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in and reinstall the battery you removed. You won't lose your settings if you have to unplug it and remove a battery, but you will have to reset the clock.

My Technika LCD32-229 is just over 12 months old and has suddenly decided not to respond to the remote or on/off control on the TV. If I turn of the power at the mains for 30 seconds or so, it will then...

HERE'S THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM:

The possible reason why your TV doesn't respond to your remote is probably the battery of your remote. Maybe it has been used up to it's fullest capacity, so try checking it up. In case, it has been used up, try to buy a new one.

The possible reason why your TV doesn't stay on is still your remote control. Maybe you have accidentally set it to "sleep mode." When it is set into sleep mode, it turns on just for a shorter time. It cannot stay on longer.

So, here's what you've got to do. Check your remote. When the remote works already, press the sleep button remote again. I hope it works for you.

Thanks.

When i turn on the midland 100m cb, I don't hear anything. The antenna is connected. Even when I key the mike, the needle doesn't move.

What about the Microphone you are using---Is it the right one for this model? If its not a Mic problem then its a burnt transistor in your board. Keep trying something with the Mic. May have to get it serviced at a repair shop. Sorry, can't help much.
