Unplug both connections of your printer, the power and the cable connected to the computer. Wait a few minutes. Then, plug the cable to the computer, and after, the power.

How to restore your inkjet printer so it prints just like new!

Inkjet printers all operate the same basic way. There are differences but the basics are the same for any inkjet devices. Eventually a buildup occurs enough that your printer doesn't print. Cleaning cycles use more and since inkjet ink is worth about $8000 a gallon, this is a expensive way to clean something.

So what can we do to clean this just a bit cheaper? We need to find a suitable solvent that will dissolve these deposits without harming the print head. And the one that works great and is dirt cheap is good old household white vinegar. Next we want to get some lint free (preferred but not critical) paper towels. And a clean clear table top to work. You may want to put down some newspaper. This isn't that messy to do but it can get the odd bit of dissolved ink on things.

Now we take the printer and remove the paper and the ink cartridges and set aside. The print head is a small stamp sized thing on the bottom of the cartridge holder. Take about 1/3 of a sheet of paper towel and wet it with vinegar. Next you want to get the wetted towel under the print head. It should fit as this is where the paper goes you print. The towel is a thicker but it is soft. move the print head back and forth over the towel. When the towel is covered with ink, change it and repeat. Keep repeating this until the towel comes clean. It will only take a few minutes. When the towel is clean then you are done. Replace the ink cartridges and paper and you are ready to print.

Printer spooler service not running

Is this an error message or a statement? If you need to start the spooler service, you can either open command window and type:
"net start spooler" without the quotation marks and press ENTER or click START button, right-click on Computer and select Manage. Then on the left, expand "Services and Applications" and click on "Services". Afterward, scroll down till you locate Print Spooler and its Startup Type should be "Automatic" and Status should be "Started" but due to the error, I am guessing the status is "Stopped". If the Startup Type is indeed set to "Automatic" then rebooting the computer should start this service automatically as listed, if you keep getting the same error message then there is something either preventing this service from starting or it is stopping it when you try to use it. Not very common but faulty or corrupt printer drivers could cause that so that would be the first thing to check unless you have other errors or issues on this computer that might indicate a filesystem corruption, bad Windows image or malware infection.
Need more info. I am sorry but this is a good example of "How not to ask for help". Better description of the issue, better the help you will receive.

I have a HP OfficeJet 5610 inkjet printer that after I changed the print cartridges and the printer goes into alignment keeps reporting that "Carriage Paper Jam'. After checking that I have no paper...

Hello,

Ok you already tried the majority of the troubleshooting process. The next thing I would try personally is removing the software/driver for the printer and reinstalling.

This typically fix's an unusual problem like that, as the cause could be on the software side of the printer and not the hardware itself.

Post back if you have any further question's or comments. Thank you for choosing Fixya.

Computer printing blue

The only thing I can think of is in the Printer Properties on the computer with the problem. If you can't find anything, then remove the printer from the computer and reinstall the driver.

I need to print a programme on microsoft publisher without the white border around the outside so basically full page but it wont do it any ideas

Maybe it is a printer limitation. Some printers just will not print full pages, even if you set the margins to 0mm on all sides. Try other printers.
