Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner

1 Answer

A/C Problems The unit will not cut off when it reaches it temp. in camper. I have replaced the Thermostat, control board, and the compaster on the top. I still have the same problem. It will not cut off with the switch heat off cool you have to use the hi low switch and its all wired right. Very confusing. When you move the temp control handle on the top to a different degree it makes the fan go from high to low it will not cut off. when it reaches like 70 and its set on 70 the fan will go from high to low speed. Please help me.

I have a Dometic a/c with a digital thermostat. When I have it on cool the compressor will cut off when the proper temp is reached but the fan continues to run and won't shut down unless I turn off.

It could be could be several things depending on what type of AC it is. is it a window unit, or a split system. Could be a bad thermostat or thermostat wire or bad board or a safety or wired wong.

your sensor to the fan is stuck in the closed position. This sensor kicks the fan on when a certain temp is reached in the heat chamber. It opens after cool down and apparently is stuck closed.

Problem with RSKP 0006 control board

If the unit has an outdoor thermostat, this turns the aux. heat on very cold days. It may need to be replaced, or removed completely, if its kicking over to soon before it gets that cold. If its set to turn on the electric at 30 degrees, then its working the right way. Also, look for different temp. setting on the board you lust installed, there should be some sort of adjustment options on it. Especially if there is no thermostat outside.
