Question about Kenwood KVT-715DVD Car DVD Player
My kvt-715dvd player plays fine for awhile then stops and displays call in the upper left corner where the source is usually located. I have to turn the unit off and back on to fix then a few seconds later the call comes back up. Any suggestions?
Hi. The unit is overheating, and in most cases, depending on the car model, you will be able to fit a computer-like cooling fan underneath the receiver pointing outwards in order to help the unit cool down a little better, and prolonging the unit's operation. Usually a double-din aperture is just perfect for these improvements. If your radio mount is a single-din opening, then is gonna be a pain in the back to do something about it. Narrow spacing means overheating, especially when heat doesn't have anywhere to go, packing in the system, ergo, shutting it down for conservational reasons. Go to you nearest car audio store. They'll be able to help you out.
