Go to Pioneerelectronics.com...there is a firmware upgrade which solves this issue. You can eith call them toll free and they will send you a free disc, or you can download onto CD-R and update yourself. Take care.

I got a car with the Pioneer Carrozzeria AVIC HRZ88 installed however it's in Japanese. Anybody have the instruction manual or know how I can change the unit's language to English. Thanks.

I have found it looks just like the AVIC HD1BT and the menus look similar, but at least in English. Check out the install/user/quicksetup manuals here: http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/support/manuals/AVIC-HD1BT/page.html
Might even be able to update the software, if you are prepared to do so at your own risk!

Pioneer AVIC-n1 touch screen display failure

when those screens go out you are better of replacing the unit. they cost more to repair then buying a new one. also with pioneer they seem to only last 5 to 6 yrs. so if yours is a 2004 then it is about time for it to start to have problems and time to buy a knew. it seems with pioneer they only lasts 6 yrs max and then you have to replace them but other brands like solny they last a lot longer.

I'm receiving an error code "error-02" when i try to play a dvd from the xdv-p9 6 disc dvd player through my avic-n4. What does this error mean?

According to the manual, Error 2 means the disc is either dirty, scratched, upside down, or is of a type that can't be played by the player (i.e. CDROM). If none of the above is true, then there's a good chance the laser lens assembly in the player is either dirty or misaligned and will need to be professionally aligned. I wish I had better news!

My JVC KD-623 Car deck is recieving power as the stand by light is on but it will not turn on or eject the disc. It was professionally installed.

there is two power sources to head units, one is a constant that makes the unit remember the time and such and the other is to actually run the unit. So am I correct to assume that the unit does not come on when the car is turned on? If so, check the wiring for the ignition
