Combi instruction

It depends on your car seat. Follow your instruction manual for your child seat and your car. Not all seating positions have tether anchors.
"Rear-facing only" seats do not tether (these have a separate base and carrier)
"Rear-facing convertible" seats may tether.
"Forward-facing" seats usually tether (some MUST tether).

What does cosco scenera model 22216-llp

You should see a harness strap over each shoulder that goes though the shell, behind the seat, and connects to a metal splitter plate.

The front of the harnesses (2) extend down though the buckle tongues then into the hip area of the seat.

There is a crotch strap that comes out of the shell where the child\'s crotch is. The buckle is attached to this strap.

There will be a LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) strap that goes through one of two belt paths. If used, this strap must go though the proper belt path.

Finally, there is a top tether strap the comes from the back of the seat - near the top - that will attach to the tether anchor in your car (see your car owner\'s manual)

My suggestion to you is to purchase a new seat. The protection of your child is most important.

My son is too big for the harness part of his graco nautilus car seat and I want to use the seatbelt. The back tethers do not reach the tether hooks (the top one does). I currently have the seatbelt...

I suggest you check with the supplier and ask them if this methos of attachment is OK.
Some child car seat do use the seat belt to hold the child seat in place.

Please help. I have been handed down a britax ASIs car seat which has isofix. Problem is my car does not have isofix. Can I still use it? And do I need to take isofix off? Thanks

Usually the ISOFIX is simply an easier way to tether the seat to the car. Some believe it is safer than tradional tether methods.
You can simply use you car's seatbelts to hold the car seat in. The car seat has 2 large holes behind the childs lower back and that is where your car seat belts slide thru and then click into their connections.
Here is a link to Britax info on the Isofix and Isofit

We need a tether can we purchase one?

The top tether should attached to the seat already. There is a storage back in the centre of the cover which it may be stored in. The universal anchor straps are attached as well and may be hidden under the cover where the child bum would be if sitting in the seat.

If you need tether anchor points installed (often in older vehicles), I would suggest you contact your dealership. I had 2 installed in my 98' as they are required in Canada for forward facing seats. It is often done free or at minimal cost.

Do I need to tether my rear facing Eddie Bauer 3 in 1 car seat?

No the law does not state that you need to use a tether but you want to use to feel that your seat is more secure

93 chev astro needs 2 tether anchors, install, location and cost

You can take the van to any Chevy dealer and they will install the anchors. Most will do this for free but some may charge a small fee. If you are handy you can even install them yourself.

Help with install

Go here to download a copy of the manual.
The straps that are in the area where you'd thread the seatbelt to install are for LATCH installation if you have LATCH anchors in your car - but you can only use seatbelt OR LATCH to install, never both. The strap at the top, with the same hook, is the top tether.
Instructions for using both are in that copy of the manual - the installation instructions for the Regent vary depending on your child's weight, so read it carefully.

Can't figure out how to attach the tether strap to my car seat. It's an Evenflo Traditions

you have to tuck the loop in through the back of the car seat from the bottom to the top and then tuck the length of the tether through the sewn loop in the tether strap. I found it helpful to have a firm, flat surface (like a butter knife or a ruler) to help guide the tether along the molded foam that is not removeable. Plan it out in advance so the hook is the right way up when you are done, to save yourself some grief.
