As for your case ...i assume that when you are pressing power button on the CPU it's getting on but you are not able to see any display on your monitor screen.

In that case there might be chances that VGA cable which is connected with your cpu to the monitor is unplugged or loss. But such possibility is rare. For that case try pressing your keyboard num lock key at the top left corner of your num lock keypad to check if blinking when your pressing the num lock button. If it's getting on/off then it means that your CPU is fine and there is some problem with your monitor or cable , it may be unplugged.

2nd : If you are unable see the blinking button by pressing num lock key then there is chances that ... there is some issue with your motherboard, Ram or Power supply. But first of all you can troubleshoot by unplugging your ram out of your CPU and then powering on your computer.... it must give a continuous beep having a gap of one second. If it's giving the same beep then you must replace you RAM or replug your ram try again. hopefully it will work.

if you still getting issue please just let me know.... it will be my great pleasure to help in this.

Thanks
Sanjay Kumar

Precision T7400 power supply sounding an alarm

Did you open the case on your computer? It may have an open case alarm which is a small switch typically located near the edge of the cover you removed. Make sure the case cover is completely installed, then see if the alarm goes off.

My Compaq Presario SR1250nx will not turn on. The power chord is attached and power strip is turned on. I've also tested on a stand alone outlet to ensure it wasn't the power chord. A little green light...

Looks like your power supply's failed. The green light on the back of your power supply is just a neon light that just confirms that the power lead is OK, it does not relate to the status of the power supply! Try powering it up with another power supply, or replacing the power supply.

Computer will not turn on. green light blinking

Try replacing the power supply, a blinking green light usually means the power supply is missing an output voltage. If you do that and you still get a blinking green light then the motherboard will need to be replaced.

I have an HP Pavilion a384x. It will not turn on

First with the computer turned off make sure the switch on the power supply is set to 115v.

If you turn the computer back on and you still get a flashing green light on the back of the power supply and a constant light on the front of the computer with no video, then try replacing the power supply with either a new one or a known working good one.

If that doesn't do it then it has to be the motherboard at that point.

Keep in mind normally on those power supplies, the green light should be constant. So it has to be either the power supply is bad or the moterboard is bad and you'll know when you put a new or known good working power supply in the computer.

Mac Ibook Power supply problem

On Mac iBooks the orange light comes on when it charges the battery. Once the battery is charged it turns green. Im guessing the other powersupply was aftermarket or broken. EIther way, if it starts out green - recognizes the battery isnt full - turns orange for a while - then turns green when the battery is full, then the computer and powersupply are working perfectly. Enjoy your iBook!
