Question about Computers & Internet

Screen size Hi bro, My laptop came with windows XP and a friend of mine decided to change it to Vista. After he did it, the screen size slashed down. We have tried to adjust the screen size but it just won't restore to normal. He thinks it is the video card driver. What do you think is the solution sir? Ponjul.

You should re-install your video driver(s). the preloaded software came with a xp-compatible driver, and you need a vista-compatible driver.

My pinnacle instant dvd recorder freezes. it says burning error when i try to record, then my computer goes to the blue screen and restarts. i use vista. what is going on? why won't it work? the dazzle dvd...

The blue screen is referred to in the industry as BSOD( blue screen of death ) this is a stop screen that is built into Windows to halt on errors whether its a hardware malfunction or incompatibility or software conflicts. Your Dazzle could be faulty or the software is causing the halt screen. This is a major problem with Vista. I have changed most of my computers from Vista back to XP because my Dazzle and new video cam won't run on Vista but runs excellent on the same machine once switched over to XP. Good luck and fell free to Google BSOD for more info.

My packard bell laptop, has 2 split vertical screens showing

Hi

In some of the forums, it has mentioned that the windows update could corrupt the video driver. So try uninstalling the video driver and download the latest video driver from website and install it. This must resolve the issue.

Revert back for clarifications.

Most like the sound card you have is not compatible with Windows Vista. You need to check the manufacturers website to see if there is any patch for Windows Vista
