Any game i play on my 360 won't work. i have tried countless games and they all have some kind of error. from freezing to having a "disc unreadable" error to the tv screen going snowy. i have a cooling fan for my 360 so i dont think it is overheating. does anybody know how to fix this?

sounds like the reader lens has burnt out on it .is your xbox stood upright ? seem to hear the lenses burn out alot faster if the consol is upright as opposed to being led down, you can buy the parts from ebay or other computer shops , or send it back to microsoft to repair , you are able to lay downloaded games as they play off of the hard drive memory , where as the disc games obviously read off of the disc when the laser gets tired they work intermitantly then eventually stop all together.
hope this is of help to you
This can either be a laser that needs the power adjusting OR it could be your 360 is starting to show the signs of the dreaded 3rrod. this type of fault can happen when the board is overheating and the lead free solder cracks causing errors on the 360 itself. the only way to repair this if it is this kind of fault is to do something called a reflow of the whole board. we can do this np, we also replace the xclamps, add heat conducting memory pads to the mainboard and we replace the heatsink paste. www.fixmyconsole.co.uk
Check the disk for scratches or fingerprints. Any kind of irregularity. If that doesn't help, run a laser lens cleaner once or twice. If still no results, have it replaced. If you know someone with a 360, try it in their machine. If it plays, it's probably a dirty lens.
Try researching it, that's what i did when it happened with CoD:4 (online) it may be overheating, you're obviously not having red lights, try unplugging it COMPLETELY and putting it near an open window
someone gave me my xbox 360 because the power brick was bad. it would freeze up and show some kind of checkboard thing on the screen. i told the guy at gamestop about it and he told me to make sure its not on the carpet, same for the power brick. it hasnt froze up since so it saved me 100 dollars.
