My 5891 arrived with the blade already inserted in the pan. It won't come out. How can I unstick it without damaging the pan or blade?

  • terryowens Jun 16, 2011

Already tried that. It's really stuck, almost like it's fused. I'm buying a new pan and blade then I'll take the current one apart. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You need to put warm water in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes to loosen the blade before removal.

Can't remove kneading blade

If you baked bread in it and cannot get the paddle free, put enough water in the pan to cover the paddle and let it set for 5 or 10 min to soak the bread crust that formed between the shaft and the paddle. Then take a hold of the shaft on bottom of pan with hand or pliers to hold it still and try to work the paddle clockwise with other hand until it becomes unwedged from shaft. Sometimes it gets wedged on shaft pretty tight due to the beating against dough ball and cooked bread holds it tightly wedged.

How do you keep the kneading blade from being baked into the bread?

Hi, You can take the kneading blade out of the machine after the last kneading cycle and before the final rise. Take the pan out of the machine to do this just to be on the safe side, Hank

Sunbeam Breadmaker Pan

You can call 800-528-7713. I just ordered and pan and blade for $ 31.18, including shipping. They have a website: www.jardenstore.com. I just went to the site, and couldn't find the pan, so I would recommend calling the number.

The post holding the kneading blade came out of bread pan

Hi,
The sealed bearing on the bottom of your pan is broken. There is no fix for it...sorry. If under warranty sunbeam will replace it. Try looking on eBay for a new pan. ( I have same model as you and the bearing froze after 5 years of heavy use. The pans on eBay were very expensive, so I bought a new Sunbeam iat Walmart in New Hampshire for just under $50.00 and no tax).

Wire piece

The small end of the wire thing works to dig the paddle out of the loaf, where it always sticks. I have no idea what the other end is for. Hope this helps.....a bit.
