Yellow toner will not print

The yellow toner will not print. The cartridge is full. I have replaced it twice even though there is toner in it. Help.

I have the same problem except my black won't print. Is that a developer issue, too? I ran the "Clean Developer" tool several times but it didn't help. All I get is a very faint lettering on one side of the page. Colors all work great, though.

Do you think this the black developer is damaged? If so, exactly how difficult is it to replace? Are there directions? Places to purchase the developer?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!

If you let the yellow toner get to the point where the toner cartridge was totally empty, there is one thing you can try which may help. From the "menu", select "maintenance", then go to "clean developer" and choose the yellow. The machine will then churn for a few minutes. What happens is there is a tube that moves the toner from the toner cartridge down to the developer unit ( which is behind the imaging drum). If the toner was allowed to totally run out, there is an area of the tube which may have little or no toner in it. Each time you print, there is a spring auger within the tube that draws the toner to the developer. By running the "clean Developer" it turns the auger and re primes the tube.

If this does not fix the issue, and you have replaced the imaging unit, then the yellow developer is defective and would need to be replaced. This involves quite a bit of work and is not considered user replaceable.

Why replace yellow toner

Most printers won't run without a full set of cartridges each with ink to print. This ensures that you spend on cartridges even if you are happy to use just black for a while.

Check the yellow drum unit carefully, could be a full or clogged waste toner collection unit.

Hello,
The Magenta or RED toner cartridge should be removed and double check that you have indeed removed the pull tab located on the side of the cartridge which will remove the sealing tape off the new toner cartridge.
The YELLOW toner cartridge on the other hand if it is not new then it is perhaps empty and needs to be replaced. Another option is to remove the YELLOW toner cartridge from the machine, Tap it and shake it side to side to loosen the toner that is in it, and replace it back into the machine, this will usually make it start to work again!
Good Luck!

Hello. I am getting a message that my yellow toner cartridge is empty and the printer (Konica Minolta 2300W)refuses to print out anything, even though I got it into the B/W mode. The complete message...

It won't print anything if one cartridge is empty, even black when the colour is empty. Are you using new or refilled cartridges? The cartridge has a chip on top that counts your number of prints, so it could feel full, but has reached it's end counter. Try another cartridge. That should solve your problem

I just replaced the yellow and cyan cartridges on my Lexmark c522 color printer and now a light yellow color prints out on every page I print, even standard black and white. What should I do. Thanks

Remove the yellow cartridge. Pull back the shutter that covers the drum. Check to see if its covered with yellow toner. It should be fairly clean. You can pull another one and do the same to compare. If theres a lot of toner over it then the cartridge is bad.

My printer is not printing the colour yellow even though the cartidge is full and new

If you have run the nozzle cleaning utility, and you are not getting any yellow output, the cartridge is most likely defective. This also occurs if you are not using OEM ink cartridges.

1 Could be toner on the contacts (inside the printer) that mate with the contacts on the cartrdige.

2 Are you sure they are 510 toners and not 500 ones ?? 510 toners have a chip that identifies the cartridge (Colour, Capacity) and maintains a count of the pages printed.
500 toners have a reset fuse that resets the toner counter in the printer, and a resitor that identifies the capacity

3 Are they new cartridges, remanufactured, or 'home refiled'.
if either of the later two, were the chips replaced ? - if not the cartridge still thinks it has printed its full life of pages.

Cannot get yellow to print

I had the same problem with the yellow cartridge. Yellow quit printing, put in a new yellow and still would not print yellow. I had a help file, don't know where I got it, but it suggested replacing the black ink cartridge also, even though the black wasn't low yet. Replaced the black, ran a few nozzle cleans and everything worked fine. Don't know why. Try it
