Question about PC Desktops

I have a new Dell computer with windows XP. I want to install my Logitech QuickCam 5.4.1 (2000) but was advised to check if there are any new downloads before installation. Do I need to download anything or need a new CD

You shouldnt have too my dell p-4 recognized my logicam and installed all of the drivers for it without a cd but you never know and also you can always go to the logic website and download the driver for it there ik please keep me posted ok best regards mike l

Wont install on windows xp without problems


did you try to insert the drivers for the quickcam into the new computer, somethings can be plugged and played but you may need the installation discs for the cam.

At this point you got several things you need to check

Here's a quick run down of some trouble shooting proceedures for this.

1. Download and install ALL the critical updates and service packs for your operating system

I bet I type that 20 times a day and I can't stress that enough !

2. download and install any driver updates for your video card

3. Make sure your computer is not getting too hot , I can't stress that enough either !


Do these things and you will illiminate them as being possible culprits ...

it is a driver that required by your webcam to run, usually it is located here (SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\LV302AV.SYS), try reinstalling the software for your webcam, if you dont have it anymore,just post the modem so that we can search it for you

Dell Dimension 2350 restore cd or bootable cd.


go to pricegrabber.com to buy a new copy of XP. Save the stuff U want and install the new os. reload U'r saved data. If some of what U wnat to save are programs, U will have to reinstall those. The new XP os will self install from cd on boot up.

try this---do a system restore to the day before you installed the software.leave the camera and mic unplugged from your pc.install the software/drivers--then plug in the camera/mic.let me know.
