Router won't connect with windows

Hello Benimur I would just like to say thank you. Your email helped me to solve my router problem. The ethernet drivers for my motherboard evidently didn't get installed in the recent install of WindowsXP.

The router wasn't recognised in the device manager. I reloaded the drivers, and the router now works

Thanks again

My connection is plug and then unplug, connect and then no internet connection repeadly. I check that could be the problem, but everythings fine. I update the driver but the problem not solved. what should...

It sounds like you may have a bad cable or ethernet port on one of the devices. Try replacing the ethernet cable and plugging it into a different port on the router. If the problem persists, it's likely a bad ethernet card.

Cant connect cable modem

If you have phone (DSL_ the phone must be connected to the modem of DSL, then connect the ethernet cable from the modem to the wireless router or router (use the jack WAN) and then from the modem (connect the cable into port # 1) goes to your PC into your ethernet card.

You have to access to your router and set your network (you have to put the data of your internet connection gave to you by your internet provider (usually is your email address and your pass)

Forgot Password

If it's the password to login to the adminitration page(GUI) of the router your pertaining to, then the only way to solve it is to reset the router to factory settings(Press and Hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds, release the reset button and wait for the power LED to go solid). Now if it's the WEP or WPA key or encrytion key for you wireless connection, Open the router's Admin page using another computer that is connected to the router or hardwire the same computer to any of the 4 Ethernet(LAN) port on the baack of the router. Open Internet Explorer and enter the router's IP address on the address bar(by default it's 192.168.1.1) then you'll get a pop up windows asking for the router's by default there is no username and the password is "admin".

I submitted the wrong email when I first came here to send you the problem I'm having setting up my broadband router. My email address is [email protected]. I'm hoping that you can help me solve...

the blue and jellow ethernet cord is the same thing.
Make sure you have wireless switch on (enabled) on the laptop
If you have wireless enabled, it should say one or more wireless networks detected in windows xp. Also, if you have a certain router, you might need a code to unlock it so you can use it.
