You need to fix your graph so that it shows the correct y-axis and x-axis.
It works best if you press the zoom button and then scroll to find the ZoomFit option.
Then the graph should show up.

My TI 84 plus silver: whenever I push the graph button the message ERR: Syntax 1:quit 2: goto appear on screen please help

Press the Y= button.

There are several possibilities:

1) Scroll through all equations, Y1 through Y9 and Y0. Make sure they are cleared.
2) The equation you typed in is not entered correctly.
3) Make sure Plot 1, Plot 2, and Plot 3 are NOT highlighted.

I want to graph a parabola on my ti-84. i entered the equation in y=, and then i turned on plot on, then i hit graph, but it is showing invalid dim. help please?

You're trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features but the calculator probably thinks you are. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.

My ti-84 wont graph two equations i pressed enter to activate it but it wont grah both of them

If the application Transfrm has been executed, it lingers in RAM and takes over the graphing capabilities of the native OS. This prevents you from drawing more than one graph. You must unload it from memory.
  1. Press the [APPS] key.
  2. Scroll down to the line that shows Transfrm.
  3. Highlight it and press [ENTER].
  4. In following screen you are invited to uninstall or continue.
  5. Press the number to the left of Uninstall. Validate if need be.
  6. Return to the Y= editor to type in functions to graph.

TI 84 plus calculator refuses to graph more than one function

Hello,
Please, read the following, even if you already know some of its contents.
  1. Once you enter an equation, the corresponding equal sign is highlighted by default.
  2. Before you draw the 2 graphs, move the cursor to Y3 or Y4 and verify that the = signs for Y1 and Y2 remain highlighted.
  3. If one is not highlighted, move the cursor on it and press ENTER.
  4. If you still have problem, press [2nd][STATPLOTS][4: PlotsOff] [ENTER].
  5. Command PlotsOff echoes on main screen.
  6. Press [ENTER], screen displays Done.
  7. Restart the graphing procedure.
  8. If all else fails, just reset the RAM by pressing [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All RAM][2:Reset], press [CLEAR] to clear the message.
You should make it a habit to clear the RAM every time you start a new type of problem.

Hope it helps.

How to graph 2 lines at once

ok well go to the 'y=' button
type in the equation and make sure that the equals sign after y has like a black box around it, making the actual = white. so make sure both of those = signs of the 2 equations that you want to graph are like that, and thats about it.

Graphing

The first solution will allow you to watch your calculator graph two equations simultaneously rather than finishing one before graphing the next; it won't solve the problem of having the calculator unselect one equation when you select a second. To fix that problem, try the following:

In order to select additional graphs, the Transformation Graphing App will need to be uninstalled from the TI-83 Plus Family and TI-84 Plus Family. Uninstalling the App does not erase it from the calculator, it disables it from interfering with the normal graphing modes. Below are the steps to successfully uninstall the App.
  • Press [APPS] key
  • Select Transfrm from the menu
  • Press 1:Uninstall
