Xerox Work Centre XD 125f/E2 red misfeed indicator/status code

Thank you for sending me to the troubleshooting guide at Xerox.
It led me to find the real cause for this problem.
Solution: check for Accordion-style paper jams.
As it turned out, I'm gonna have to replace a "Fuser Gear"

The printer repairman said that the plastic gear found in this and similar models can fail after as early as a few months of use. Best of luck!

you can't find one. What you can try is install an older driver or a standard printer driver. that might give you some functions

I have a Xerox XD 100 work centre showing a H-4 code what is the problem?.


The H4 code on these machines is almost always a false code. Especially if you have had any power fluctuations or failures.
Here is the text from my tip to solving this problem here on Fixya:
To reset the H3 or H4 condition on just about any Xerox XC or XD series copier press the following key's in sequence and as quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "C" then the far left key (exposure mode) then the "C" key then the far left again.
So in other words C, far left, C, far left
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Now key in 14 as if you were going to make 14 copies.
Now press the print button.
The machine should reset and the code should be gone.
9 times out of 10 this is a false code that pops up due to power surges or noise.
If the code comes back this means you have a heater lamp or thermal fuse (more common) failure in the fusing area and will need service.
This procedure will work on all Xerox XD and XC models.

e2 is a paper jam problem. check that the paper guides in the cassette are positioned aginst the paper properly. Also remove the toner and drum cartridge. Clean all rubber rollers that you can get to with a damp cloth ( water). You are especially trying to clean the upper and lower registration rollers that "pinch" the paper. I hope that this helps.

What does E 2 mean on Xerox XD 100


PAPER JAM PROBLEM
The Main PWB sensed that a paper jam
exists within the paper path.
E2 Status Code (Without SDF) RAP
The Main PWB sensed a tray misfeed or a paper jam in the paper path.
Initial Actions
• Switch off the power and clear any document jam.
• Check for any obstructions in the paper path.
Procedure
Switch on the power. Enter diagnostic code 30-1.
Open then close the Fuser Gate to actuate and deactuate the Fuser Jam Sensor Q3 while
observing the Paper Jam lamp. The Paper Jam lamp comes on and goes off.
Y N
Go toFlag 2 and check the wires for an open or short circuit.
Manually actuate and deactuate the Paper Feed Sensor Q1 while observing the Toner Cartridge
lamp.
The Toner Cartridge lamp comes on and goes off.
Y N
Go to Flag 1 and check for an open circuit.
Place a piece of paper above the Fuser Gate and use the Manual Exit Knob move the paper
across the Exit Sensor Q4 while observing the Drum Cartridge Lamp.
The Drum Cartridge lamp turns on and off.
Y N
Go to Flag 3 and check for an open wire.
Manually actuate and deactuate Bypass Feed Sensor Q2 while observing the Auto exposure
lamp.
The Auto exposure LED comes on and goes off.

Go to Flag 4 and check for an open circuit.
Press the Clear button. Enter diagnostic code 6-2. Press the Start button. The Registration
Roll Solenoid can be heard switching on and switching off.

Press the Clear button. There is +24 VDC measured between CN103-1 and GND.

Replace the Main PWB PL 7.1.
Go to Flag 5 and check the wires for an open circuit. If the wires are good, replace the
Registration Roll Solenoid SOL3.
Press the Stop button. Paper jams in the fuser.
Y N
Check the following:
• Ensure that the paper tray guide is set to the correct width of the copy paper.
• Inspect the paper path from this tray and the paper registration area for an obstruction
such as a burr.
• Inspect the Registration Roll, PL 5.1 and the Pinch Roll, PL 1.4 for contamination
and wear. Clean (with Film Remover only) or replace as required.

Diagnostic Indicator


Beep codes and power LED status are pre-post errors. Usually beep codes indicate a problem with a memory module. Power LED is solid green for normal operation. Solid or blinking Amber color power LED indicates a power distribution problem.

Work centre xd 100, error code c1


C1 indicates the paper is not feeding out of the main tray, your rollers are most likely slick or very dirty.
You can try cleaning them with a soapy cleaner such as fantastic or 409, but I would recommend replacing them.
Not hard to do, you can order them by googling a business called The Parts Drop, either e-mail them or call and ask for Britt.
No I don't work there, they are just someone I found to be excellent and reasonable to deal with parts wise.
