First of all, some device like USB modems may not work fine when you use usb hubs.
Secondarily, a usb hub, like any other electronic device can get faulty with no apparent reason.
After this premise I can tell you that USB hubs, and USB devices in general can stop working for setting problems, system problems, or electrostatic charges troubles.
When this happens you usually solve the problem by disconnecting USB devices, in this case the hub for ten minutes or so.
At the same time you need to disconnect the computer from power for ten minutes, if it is a laptop you will also need to remove laptop battery to drain power from computer.

If your Hub is powered with a power adapter, check that power adapter is well connected.

If it still does not work after this, then it is probably faulty.

Sir/madam,

It works with Mac OS8.1 and higher as long as the computer already has an existing and operational USB port(s). Check the power supply and the specs are 6 Volts DC, 4A. The center pin positive for the polarity.

There is no driver or software required for any of the USB hubs. The software is built into the operating system as long as the system requirements in question number one above are meet. Otherwise the hub will not work at all.

thanks
good luck

In that case, use your lifetime warranty because they have their on tools to fix your device and i suppose that they are very familiar with your problems. use the advantage of it. hope that helps!

My htc shift has already updated to windows 7 ultimate and put password on it, and i forgot the password how can i reset it?

Windows 7 is great. And I reset windows 7 password when i lost it last time.

Password recovery should be performed with a password recovery tool which can work for windows 7. You can download a password recovery tool and install it in a computer you have access to, then burn a password reset CD/DVD or USB flash Drive by following its guide. Finally you can get windows 7 password reset safely.

CONNECTION CANNOT BE ESTABLISHED

Check your USB ports with another device like a flash drive.

Reset your USB ports:

Here is what you can do to refresh the USB ports:
1. Right click MY COMPUTER
2. Select PROPERTIES
3. Select HARDWARE
4. Select DEVICE MANAGER
5. Select UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS
6. Right click on each USB CONTROLLER and select Uninstall
7. Uninstall all entries
8. Reboot your computer
9. As your computer re-boots it will reinstall all USB connections it detects
THEN, when all other USB items have been configured and connected by the system, you then should try connecting your USB drive.

If your USB ports are working, download and install the new version of Destop Manager and HotSync @

reset your TX before you attempt to sync it with the PC after you download the new version of the software.

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

It appears it has something to do with the flash continuely trying to operate. When charging (Red LED blinking in quick succession) the flash can be conitnuely seen to be operating.

Doesn't fix the problem but I think this is the cause

1) make sure you have the latest active sync installed

C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\drivers
or
c:\windows\system32\drivers....with activesync 3.7 anyways.
2) go to contro panel -> system -> device manager -> view device b
connection -> plug and play bios -> pci bus -> usb host controller -usb root hub
3)delete everything uner usb root hub.
4)from control panel run add new hardware
5)now everything under your computer's usb hub including the cradl
will be installed properly.
6)once this installation is performed, you will make sure to see "H
USB Sync 1620" under USB root hub

Install new operating system

You can install through the USB port, either with a regular USB flash drive with the proper software on it (if you are installing something like Linux), or by plugging in an external hard drive (Firewire would also work for this, if your computer supports it) to read the installation CD-ROM.

My external microphone jack and USB's doesn't work on Toshiba Satellite

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop and experience this problem with the mike stopping suddenly too. Your solution may not be as easy as mine was, but here goes ... Did you check the audio setup? Go to Audio Properties, and click Advanced so you can see the Microphone properties. Mine was muted and it wasn't me that muted it -- just seemed to happen suddenly and hopefully it's that easy for you!!!!

Battery draining

Could your computer be using unpowered USB? Some machines and hubs have unpowered ports. Check the Right-click My Computer, Properties, Hardware, Device Manager, Universal Serial Bus Controllers, and find the listed hub which has the iPAQ connected to it. How much power is it drawing, and is the hub self-powered? (look at the power tab after double-clicking the hub) Also, is USB charging turned on? It's in the Power section of the Settings under the "USB Charging" tab.
