Hello,
Please install software "Picture Package" CD came with camera. Connect USB cable to camera and other end of cable to PC. Windows XP or Vista will recognize it and install its drivers automatically. If camera is not recognized by Windows, go to camera Menu, enable USB Streaming and check. Hope info will help you.

You are likely using the S-Video cable (multi-pin cable that connects to the front of the camera below the spotlight). This cable carries video but not audio. To get audio, use the multi RCA to 1/8" adapter (has red, yellow, and white cables and plugs into the side of the camera)
