Trying to install a Alpine 3552 amp, can't get power, not sure how remote switch works?

make sure you have a good ground. use a continuity tester. local retail or stereo shop sells one for about $10-$20. make sure you have power (fuse should be within 12" of battery). the remote wire off the stereo (usually blue) can be your remote switch. this has to be connected for the amp to work and stereo must be turned on.

I got no sound, it says audio off but I dont know how to turn the audio on

some stereos have a mute button pesu that on the remote (if you have one) otherwise go into the settings menu and look for something similar. otherwise remove the stereo and unplug the power cable and let it sit for a 30 sec to a minute to drain out all power from the radio to reset and try again.

The remote cobtrol of my pionerr car stereo have been stolen , can i buy new remote

Yes you can find remotes on ebay or even on craigslist. Personally I think your best chance would be on ebay. Believe it or not, most people on ebay does sell quality items...

Go in to car electronics and type in the remote number if you remember it. If not google your deck model number and you should be able to locate the model number for your remote, then enter the model number in ebay car electronics.

I just purchased a new Performance Teknique ICBM-7352 car stereo and had just noticed that the wire harness that came with the deck does not have a remote wire, used to connect to my amplifier. My question...

not sure if it is supposed to come with one but you can just connect the remote wire from the amp to the ignition wire, its usually the red wire. Just don't connect it to the battery wire from your car that runs to the stereo otherwise amp will always stay on and kill your battery.

The speakers in my new 2nd hand car won't play

if one speaker in car is shorted or bad.It will cause the whole system to mute .You may need to have someone to disconnect one speaker at a time or pull out radio. Some systems have a seperate amp in rear of car .Check fuse for that amp//goodluck

Can I plug my MP3 player into the aux. socket on my car radio, with the appropriate cable and play the stored music?

You should be able to do that as long as you have the right cable.

Most of the mp3 players have a "mini-stereo" jack (3.5mm) and some car stereos have the same type of jack for "aux" input, and others car stereos have RCA jacks for the "aux" input.

Even if the jacks are not the same type, you can use an adapter cable that converts the mini-stereo jack to an RCA jack. You can find them at many places like Best Buy, Circuit City or Radio Shack.

Depending on the type of car stereo you have, you would normally press the source button to change between the tuner, cd player, aux or whatever you may have connected to the stereo. You may even have a seperate button to press for the "aux" input.

I hope this was helpful to you, if you need more information just ask, and please give more info on the type of mp3 player and the make and model number of the car stereo.
