SOURCE: Memory Problem

May was a long time ago - you may have solved this by now...
A330 cameras only accept certain types of xD cards.  If you have a type 'h' card, it won't work.
I have a card that says "H512mb" and it's useless.  You can only use cards with no letters before the card size or type "M"  cards.  With a type "M", you need to upgrade the camera firmware.  Read directions here: http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital/download/a330/fupd.html

Pull out the card and try another to be sure the camera will still save to a card.

If you have a separate card downloader device like a Sandisk, (cheap at WallyMart), you can check the card and see if the pics are still there, and then drag and drop them into your computer from the card. The pic download software that came with the camera is not really needed, and is rather cumbersome.

SOURCE: Can't initialize SanDisk Ultra II for S7000

It looks as though the camera cannot support memory as high as 4GB. Capacities above 2.2 GB require that your camera supports "FAT32", and S7000 does not support FAT32.

Use a card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop. Then, format the card in the camera to erase and initialize it.

Why am I getting a "memory full" error when my memory card is not full?

Try formatting the card with the camera menu. This is always safer when you buy a new card. If that doesn't work take the card back

All of a sudden my xd cards are coming up with errors. I have never had a problem like this. It's telling me to format the card, but if I do that I will lose my pictures. Is there something wrong with...

You need to download your pictures from the memory card to your computer, once on the computer hard drive in a folder then format the memory card. Yes you will loose the pictures on the memory card BUT you will start over with a brand new clean surface on the memory card to put more pictures on. I think it's pretty amazing that the camera is actually telling you what it needs you to do. Most would just give you an error code without instructions.

A 32mb card isn't very big. If your camera takes pictures larger than 6mps, the card will fill up fast. Why not buy a larger card? You can set the picture quality to a lower setting in the menu of the camera, but if you capture that once in a lifetime shot and you want to print an enlargement, the quality will suffer. My advice...shoot in the highest quality and use a big card.

When i turn my camera on it says memory card error

You probably need to format the card in the camera. This will erase all the pictures so download them first.

Card error

The cards are too big - the ONLY implicite statement I've seen showed the picture capcacities with a 128MB card (Yes, One Hundred Twenty Eight MEGA Bytes) It might be able to use a 512Mb card, but I doubt it.

Lcd screen stuck in usb mode?

Try removing batteries and card and leaving them out for a while to allow camera settings to default.
Replace batteries only and see if you get "Card Error" message.
If you get this, then try again with card fitted
Check firmware version

Possibly card storage too big. Upgrade firmware to version 1.77

If you have no user manual there is a PDF version available to download here:

http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/consumer/digital/digital-cameras/legacy-cameras/finepix-a330-zoom/Support

All the error messages are given in the manual with possible solutions.

Bought 8gb memory card - error message

Hi, I suspect that the SD card is to big for that camera as that camera is a lower end camera. You should try the SD card in a camera that is known to be able to handle such a huge card.

Camera display shows "memory card error".

I would give this software a try:
http://www.download.com/VirtualLab-Data-Recovery/3000-2248_4-10610841.html?cdlPid=10801131
and be more vigilant about backing up your pictures. Flash memory can corrupt at any time. Good Luck.

Write error

Try reformatting the card either with the camers or an external reader. Also try a different card to make sure that it's the card malfunctioning and not the camera. It could also be something as simple as the card being locked (tiny switch located on side of card), just switch it the other way to unlock. If the card wont format internally or externally then it is spoiled and you need to get a new one.
