You have to log in to windows to fix this problem by borrowing a wired keyboard to enter your password.
After log on go to Start-> all programs -> accessories -> system tools -> system restore and restore your computer to 3-4 days ago when it worked ok.
disconnect the small wireless dongle from the back of your computer..reboot the computer..put it back in,,and then press the connect button on bothe mouse and the keyboard to check,,the battery of teh mouse and the keyboard shud be checked if possible
Go to start and run then type services.msc or if using windows 7 just go to start and type services.msc in the search box. Once open find the service "Human Interface Device Access". Change it from manual to automatic and make sure that it is started.
I was having the same problem and who knows it may pop up again... But what worked for me was moving the transmitter. I think the transmitter is crappy and super sensitive to interference. After i moved it away from my monitor the problem went away. I have only had it this way for a few hours though so no guarantees. But so far so good.
