I'm looking for the ipod dock connector, P/N:1008-0000411 Rev:A. Where can I get it?

    That's not it:( What I'm looking for is actually an internal part. I took the dock apart to get to it. My 1 yr old nephew jerked the iPod off the dock, and so the dock connector doesn't work correctly now. I unplugged the dock connector from the logic board. It's part num 1008-0000411 Rev:A. Thanks!

    What I need is the actual internal dock connector (I had to take the dock apart to remove the part). The part number is 1008-0000411. It?s a dock connector on one end and it plugs into the circuit board on the other. The link you posted didn?t appear to have anything comparable.

No sound from docking station
The most likely cause is a damaged docking connector. However if there was no incident with knocking, wrenching or mistreatment of the dock connector, it may be another cause. If you turned the power off after it had been on a long time and the dock didn't start up again then: 1: If it is charging the ipod but no sound then the sound processor as failed.2.If it isn't charging the ipod then watch the diagnostic video: SounDock Original Check & Diagnostic

Looking for ipod dock connector part # ih5-101
call 1-800-288-2792 and ask for a iH5-101 (dock Connector) its 13.50 included S/H. take your iH5 apart and replace the part. In the future use a Ipod Dock Extender cable to prevent this from happening in the future.

I too purchased the DenonASD11R Ipod dock to connect to my Denon AVR2311 Receiver, and I too experienced the same problem. I think it might be software compatiabilty issues between Ipod Gen 4, the Dock and Receiver. Some other Denon Ipod Docks are not compatiable with Ipod Touch 4. I returned my Dock and received full refund, and will be waiting for Denon to bring out another Ipod Dock which will work with Ipod Gen 4

Bose SoundDock burned out two of my iPods - a Nano and a classic.
um ur sounddock might require that u place the white docking piece that came with ur ipod to be place b4 the ipod is docked if not u may ruin the dock and the ipod usb port this is done because different generation ipods(nana and touch and ...) have different shapes so the entrance for docks may require to be eleveated or reduce in gradient basically if the dock isnt made for the specific ipod or u dont know just put the white piece in

Bose docking station chip broke off
I had the same problem that the ipod would onl play when I pulled it forward in the dock. Looking closely, I saw that some of the pins on the left hand side of the connector were bent forward, so I bent them back with a needle:

(ie. pushing the pins to the right, as shown here). This solved the problem for me.

If your connector is too far gone, I suggest looking to:

for a new connector for £3-4 or

http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/connector.htm

for a whole PCB (Printed Circuit Board) replacement for £10-15.

Denon ASD-3w ipod dock not being recognized by denon 3808
I successfully connected the ASD-3W to the Denon 3808CI using the supplied AV/Control cables (dock control, L & R audio, S-video). I used the video and audio input connectors marked VCR (iPod) on the 3808CI and used the default settings. I used the connector marked Dock Control for the control cable. These VCR (iPod) connectors are different than the input connectors marked VCR. I turned the source selector to VCR/iPod Stereo and operated the GUI using the ASD-3W remote control. I was able to play music and video.

The dock connector is the connector at the bottom of the iPod which the USB cable you use to connect the iPod to your computer plugs into. This is also the connector that is used to connect your iPod to a "dock" such as this one. An iPod dock, like this one is a device that you drop your iPod into for charging. It typically also has a connection for external speakers that can be used with the dock.

Not all models of iPod have a dock connector. And the actual layout of the dock connector varies from model to model. It sounds like you will need to use an iPod model that does have a dock connector to interface with the karaoke machine. You may also need an interface cable. Consult the documentation of your karaoke machine for more detailed info.
