Is this a non-ducted system with dials to turn on it, or is it controlled by a wall thermostat ?

Are you sure all the wires are where they are supposed to be on the thermostat ? I hate to ask this but have to, do you actually know by sound difference when your compressor kicks on & off ?When you say it won't stop cooling, do you know for sure the compressor is still working & fan is still blowing. The reason I ask is that some will continue to circulate the air, like it is still cooling, but the actual compressor has kicked off, and will kick back in when indoor temperature setting requires it to. Others will shutdown completely, compressor & fan, when it reaches desired temperature, and re-start when room reaches set temperature. Have you owned this RV long enough to know that the AC did actually work that way at one time? Perhaps if you can give me a model # on your AC unit, and thermostat, it would help me determine what's going on. Thanks

My landlord installed this brand new out of the box. Our apt is 900 sq ft tops. This unit can't even cool down our living room and kitchen. If the whole 2 bedroom apt is 900 sq ft, you can imagine how...

The AC your landlord installed is rated at 8000 btu which is way too small for 900 sq ft. You need at least a 15000 Btu Air conditioner and a 'well insulated' house to be cool.
A good rule of thumb in the AC business says you need 1 ton (12000 btu) of Air conditioning for every 600 sq feet (if the house is well insulated) - if not - then you will need 1 ton (12000 btu) for every 400 sq feet.
So, if you have 900 sq feet and the house is well insulated you should have at least a 15000 btu unit.
If it's not well insulated you will need 24,000 btu.

The unit is not cooling the room. It is only comforting when you are in direct line of it.

you need to find out the size of the unit.
Rule of thumb - for every 600 sq ft of cooling area (in a well insulated house) you will need 1 ton of air conditioning. 1 ton = 12000 btu.
So, if your cooling area is 600 sq ft you would need an AC which was rated at 12000 btu, assuming your house is well insulated.
If it is not insulated well - you might need a bigger unit, i.e. 15000 btu.

Have a Duo Therm 59516.531 15000 BTU blower motor does not run checked cap 5mf ok tried direct power still nothing any thought. thanks

if you tried direct power and still nothing then your fan needs to be replaced . there should be a a/c supply store near you . get the model - serial number on the fan or the unit itself to get the right fan for your unit . hope that helped
