I have a Rollei prego 130WA film camera as of 01/08. Switch on procedure has failed whereby a clicking sound is made and vibrations are felt through the casing. Function panel on the rear initiates, but no photos can be taken.

How to format sd card for rollei prego da5? I put a new 4GB sd card in my rollei, camera says: "Your card has to be formatted. Click ok." When I click ok, it says: "Card cannot be...

The DA5 works with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You have to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Where can I get a scan disk 512 mb?

I believe that you are referring to a SD card. You can buy them here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007962%20600006188&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=20

(Note: 1GB = 1000MB)

If this helps please vote for my solution.

My PC detected virus and deleted the DCIM folder. I can't see the folder anymore to view my pictures or transfer them from my camera.

there are a lot of free programs out there to recover data from flash cards. Download something like http://www.softwarepatch.com/software/smartrecovery.html then recover your data, then let the camera format the card and you should be ok.

Memory card cannot be used

Follow these steps: 1. If you have a SD card reader, insert the SD card and look for it in Windows Explorer. In this case, mine was labeled F: 2. Right Click on the drive for the Card Reader (IMPORTANT) and choose FORMAT. 3. Format card with default settings. 4. Turn Camera on and go to MENU> FORMAT CARD 5. Before answering the next question, insert SD card into camera. You will hear it beep twice. 6. Choose FORMAT and the card should be formatted for use on the camera. Cheers!
