Are you having a problem with this one computer AND only MS Office? For example, if you try to print something from Wordpad or another non-Microsoft office product, do you have the same problem? If so, I would delete that specific printer from your list of printers, reboot then try adding the printer again. It sounds like something is wrong with the way the printer is defined, not something with Office.
the printer is fine its the computer that you are printing from that is giving the wronge information. try reinstalling it onto that computer. and check that the background on the word documents are not black on print prevew first. or you have not chosen on the program you are printing from there is not a background colour that needs sending to the back.
That blank page is a separator page used when printing multiple documents. This function can be turned on and off in the printer settings. Go to Start>printers>right click on your printer and choose properties>click Printing Preferences at the bottom right hand side......snoop around in those tabs most likely an advanced or features tab you will find the setting for this.
Does it happen while printing from all the applications or from only any particular appication or from e-mail/web printing ?
Click Start (Windows Icon) - Printers Folder
Right click on the printer icon Officejet 5600 series and select properties. Click on the Advanced Tab. Enable the option Print Directly to printer. click Apply and OK. Check for the result.
