I dont know how to set up a mixer Gemini 3610 to my laptop and my powered speaker i want to know what cables i need

There are several possible solutions for this. The cheapest and easiest is to do the following:
Solution 1:
1. Get an RCA stereo plug to 3.5 mm plug. This will go from your mixer to your computer. This will not be the highest quality, but will work.
2. Get an XLR cable of the length you need. I would guess a standard one with a male connection on one end and a female on the other. Connect this to your powered speaker. Also, this is a guess as you didn't include the type of powered speaker, so I can't tell you for sure which cable to use.
Solution 2:
1. An alternate idea for better sound quality would be to run a D/A converter similar to this one: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/USBMix/It would give you a much higher sound quality for everything. You would run from your Gemini to this. From this device, you would run a USB cable to your computer, and a 1/4" cable to your powered speaker.

I was just giving a technics record player sl 1700 and for some reason I get sound out of the record but it does not hook up to my speakers. It has the red and white av cables and I have hooked all that up...

We need to know exactly what you have for electronics to give a specific answer.

Old-school turntables don't connect directly to speakers. It will require a PHONO preamplifier either integrated into a receiver or stand-alone and external to boost and frequency-balance the minute RIAA output signal produced by the phono cartridge.

I have the gemini vinyl 2 mp3 professional usb turntable and it is hooked up to my computer and the software is installed. I can't hear the music through the computer and I can't record the sound. Help?

Look in your control panel on your computer and check the sound settings. For instance I have Sound Max on my PC and the imputs have to be set on to listen to different sound sources. Also there are level controls on it that can be set to zero.

Sound does not come through speakers just hear the ipod

Did you find a solution to your problem? I have just come across this problem myself.

I have a 16GB 5th Gen iPod, and I am using a compatible (brand new) Hitachi AXM204UK Micro System. The Micro System produces brilliant sound on the CD and USB settings, however when my iPod is docked ( and is responding to charge and the remote control) it doesn't produce sound. Apart from the internal speakers.

If you could help me, that would be brilliant. :)

Typically, one would run a single wire, 18 or 20 gauge will work, from the turntable motor housing to the amp chassis. I know the older amps have a ground screw on them,, but any chassis screw will work.
