When I want to print a word document and want to save inkt or change it to grayscale of black/white for example, I changed properties on windows XP to fast (you know, the choice between fast, normal and best printing).
The problem is: with widows vista I can't access the menu 'properties'!
With office 2007, I want to print a .doc file, I click 'print' in the menu, then press 'properties', it shows the submenu, but it disappears after not even 1 second! (It's where you can also choose to print in grayscale, black/white, change printing quality etc)
Can anybody help? It's VERY annoying
Tnx in advance!

It may be set for grayscale (black and white) in the print properties. Go into the print properties in Word and look for a color or black and white setting, either under Color Management or Advanced. Set it for color, and then print your color document.
There should be an option to print grayscale in properties, but if it's a color PDF it could be locked so that you can't change the properties, look for the lock symbol in the top bar when the pdf is open.
For example, if you want to print black and white, when you select PRINT from the menu, you click on PROPERTIES to the right side or bottom side, depending on which windows you use, then select grayscale/black and white, etc in the options that will follow to correctly use your ink, you can always REMOVE the ink from your printer as you only want to print black and white or non color pages.
HP PSC 1210 software wont work with vista. That is the software that comes with the printer containing photo disk ,toolbox etc. HP tells me to get a new printer but its the program that needs attention.
Click Start (windows) icon - Control Panel - Printers. Right click on the HP PSC icon. Set the printer as default printer. Right click on the printer icon and select Set as default. Right click on the printer icon - Select properties - Click on Ports tab - Change the port to USB virtual printer port. Click Apply and Ok. Try to print. If the issue did not resolve. Get back to me.
