K850i Opening phone

The K850i is a pretty solid phone because it doesn’t have a rear battery cover. Instead the bottom of the phone pops open (henge type opener) similar to what you find on a digital camera.

Does anyone know can the camera lens be replaced on a k850i cant find anywhere that says it can be done

Is it the lens or the plastic piece which is part of the housing???

The lens itself is on the Camera module, to replace that lens you will have to replace the camera...

How durable is sonyerrison k850i mobile phone

Not very mate, we repair a lot of these every week... Touchscreen portion of the display goes as well as the whole screen. The lens is glued onto the LCD because of that if you crack the lens you usually also end up having to replace the screen too... Has a few software bugs too, other than that its very fat and ugly, lol

The cover of my camera lens won't open

I had the same problem and i just solved it. Sounds a little rough, but it works. You just have to smash it (off course not too hard) towards your hand, with the bottom of the phone pointing towards your hand. To this while the camera it turned on. After doing that, turn off the camera and then turn it on again. That is how i solved my problem. Mine works fine now. It opens and closes like it used to do.

Hope it helped

just make sure your hands are not touching the side where the cam is... there is a sensor there that you might have been blocking while taking pics....
