My fridge door will not close. When I try to close it, it just pops open. Looks like the rubber layer on the inside doesn't stick. Please help!

Possible that the gaskets is worn out, damaged or the magnetic seal is weak. you can clean the inside of the gaskets and the face of the door where the seal is in contact.
If this wont solve check the alignment of the door, hinges.
Finally check the magnetic strength.

When I close my side x side frig the freezer door pops open

This happens because the refrigerators of today are air tight, the fresh food door pushes the air into the cabinet as it closes and the air has no place to go but up the air vent into the freezer and "pops" open the freezer door. First thing is make sure the freezer door is capable of closing properly and is not rubbing or catching anywhere. I sometimes add a washer or 2 to the center hinge under the freezer door so it doesn't rub anything. Put a little Vaseline ( or food grade silicone lubricant ) on the hinge side of the seal. I then raise the front of the refrigerator so that the front of the refrigerator is a little higher than the back of the refrigerator. Never level a fridge with a level. Once you have the door closing properly and front slightly higher than the back...let the fresh food door close from 90 degrees on it's own and the freezer door may "pop" open a little but will close again on it's own...and stay closed once all is set up properly. We see this more often now and have no trouble with the door staying open again after setting up the refrigerator properly.

My amana bottom freeze refridgerator door in opening a little when the top door is closed. do i need to adjust the screws or is it something with the seal?

raise the front legs so the machine is tilted back a little, this will help the top door close easier, also most likely you have nothing heavy on the door itself, all a fridge does is move air,the evaporator coil gets cold and the evap. fan blows cold air from the freezer into the fridge side and the air keeps circulating, when you shut the top door it's pushing the air down into the freezer and popping the door open, like i said raise the front legs a little and put stuff on the freezer door so it has some wieght to it and it won't pop open.hope this helps salde

Fridge door will not close all the way

two things could be wrong... first and easiest. if the surface where the door comes in contact with the fridge is dirty, it will cause the door to not stick. second, some fridges use magnets in the seal. first clean the surfaces with a good household cleaner... if that doesn't work, find an appliance store and find a new seal.

Fridge doors do not close completely

1st ckeck that nothing is sticking out just far enough to pop the door open.if not that, than the gaskets can were out on frig doors , you can order it on line from all appliances, get the model # from inside the frig , be patient installing it , its tricky, but it can be done by Harry homeowner. good luck.

mINE IS DOING EXACTLY THE SAME - I'VE HAD IT ABOUT 2 WEEKS BUT ONLY STARTED MAKING THIS SOUND TODAY AND AS YOU SAY ONLY WHEN THE FRIDGE DOOR IS OPENED AND THEN SHUT!

Right hand door pops open when closing left hand door

The dool seal is not sealing completely on your fridge door . Maybe pulled in corner , split somewhere . If looks ok , then magnetic portion is not sealing against cabinet somewhere . Once you find the area , use a hairdryer to soften the rubber while door closed and it will pull itself down due to the magnet .

Fridge door pops back open

The seal on your door may not be sealing properly, when you close the door the seal helps create a vacuum which keeps your door closed firmly, you might need to replace the door seal, you could also try leveling your fridge by putting shimmys underneath the feet, you might also want to check to make sure there is nothing sticking out of your fridge such as drawers or food racks that may keep the door from closing all the way. good luck.

Aeg santo fridge water leaking into door seal and runs onto floor when opening the door, also the door has incredible suction after closing and is difficult to open soon after closing

Had the same problem. I'd already tried waggling the drain rod from inside the fridge but to no avail. I pulled out the fridge and pulled off the 'top hat' end on the very end of the corrugated drain pipe. Inside was pretty gunky.
Just clean it thoroughly especially around the little rubber mushroom and the problem goes away. Simples
