Trying to install a Alpine 3552 amp, can't get power, not sure how remote switch works?

make sure you have a good ground. use a continuity tester. local retail or stereo shop sells one for about $10-$20. make sure you have power (fuse should be within 12" of battery). the remote wire off the stereo (usually blue) can be your remote switch. this has to be connected for the amp to work and stereo must be turned on.

What is the security code for an Alpine 7982 in dash cd changer?

It wouldn't make sense to have only a single security code for every unit of that model, it will be tied to the serial number of the unit and only Alpine will have it. You'll have to contact them and you may have to somehow prove ownership since the code makes it unattractive for thieves to steal them.

Everything is connected and its getting power but don't wanna play anything out the subs

check to see if you didn't connect the rca's in the back of the stereo to the inputs. some stereos have input rcas, like to connect cd changer. if you have a spare amp try it. if it works your amp may have blown a fuse or the outputs are burned.

I have a jvc stereo hooked up to two boss subs. and a alpine 300w amp and when i turn it up the cd player skips

Make sure that the head unit is secured tight, it might be the bass that is rattling the head unit and therefore the cd is jumping.

Error 1 on alpine cha-s364

Quick Note: It's really helpful to your cause if you make sure you include more information about your system and what you're doing to get an error.

It's also a good idea to make sure you type in your model number correctly - you've typed in cha-s364 (the actual model you're talking about "I think" is a CHA-S634 - please verify!!

Here's a link to the user manual

As for the E-01 Error message on your CD Changer:

The E-01 reading is an error message, usually because the changer magazine is jammed in the changer. To manual eject out the magazine, take a thin plastic ruler (at least 5-1/2" in length) and slip it between the bottom of the magazine and the changer. Now, push in. This will hit a release button in the back. If the magazine does not eject, you will need to send the unit in to be serviced. To locate the nearest authorized service center to you call 1-800-ALPINE-1.
Note: if the magazine is half way out, but jammed, DO NOT try to release the magazine. You will need to send the unit in to be serviced by a technician.
