Tried another repairer - Philips specialist. Fixed and returned by the next day. Reasonable cost and excellent service. YTV Repairs Burley Road, Leeds. Even got the two replaced ceramic filter capacitors back! Can you suggest what I can do with them?

What is the code i need for my philips universal remote to work on my veon tv

Your remote should come with a complete list of product codes.......if lost, try phoning your local Philips repair shop.
Even an unauthorised repair shop will sometimes have all the codes.

Philips tv smokes

Do this only if you are a qualified service technician:

This problem can come if any moisture has entered or is formed inside the TV.

Switch of the power outlet, and remove the plug. Open the back cover and check what are the parts burnt visibly. If it is in the SMPS area, you may require a thorough check on the load and replace all the burnt parts by looking through a Service Manual. Anyhow, this might require attention by a qualified service technician.

My 19pr15 c122 will come on for a second then shut back off just wondering if its something fixable or should i just trash it

It's seldom the parts that cost much, it's the labor to figure out which parts are causing the trouble that make TV repairs expensive. Many things can cause a TV to behave the way you describe, so I can't point out one or two specific parts. Even if I knew exactly what was causing the problem, you might have trouble getting the parts or lack the tools and soldering skills to replace them. It's possible to do more damage trying to repair a set without some experience. So while it's certainly fixable, it's probably not economical for this small of a TV. You could easily replace it for the same cost you'd likely face if you have a technician service it. Use this as an excuse to find yourself a new TV.

Good evening I have a philips 42 plasma and as it warms up I loose the bottom half of my sceen and it comes back when I tap gently on the dise. Usely not happening after it's warmed up

Good day sir, there is a probability that a loose component inside your TV is the culprit, and as you tap it gently on its side it makes contact again, the part is usually (probably) located at the Vertical stage of the TV, you can't do anything at this point but to call your local service repair man, they will look for the loose part, resolder it and test. It seem simple but it takes a lot of time to find the loose part. hope this helps.

Philips 50 Inch Plasma Model 50PF7320A/37 will not turn on

Commonly it's going to be a power supply related problem. The two boards that need to be looked at is the Main Power Supply Board or the power supply board for the screen. The one that powers the screen, some manufactures call it a Backlight Inverter Board.
If you have some electronic experience, you can sometimes find a Service Manual for the TV over the internet for less than $20. It will have the all resource material for repairing your TV model. It's just the matter of replacing the bad part on the circuit board.

You probably have a defective IR receiver in the set, have it looked at by your local service company.

sounds lick you may have a dry joint in the powers or line o/p stage.

as a rare fault it could be the crt with an intermittant internal s/c. but you would notice the colour was tinted either red, green, or blue in the dark areas of the pic.
