Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

The Alt + F10 causes the computer to boot from a hidden partition to run the Recovery. If the infection has corrupted or intentionally deleted this partition Alt-F10 will no longer work. The eRecovery uses the same partition. You can format and reinstall using an OEM dvd and the product number from the sticker on your computer or you can contact Acer to purchase Recovery DVDs.
I'm surprised they let you use this for work, Vista reaches EOL and all support stops April 11, 2017 - that's less than a month.

How do I get rid of a trojan horse on a windows opperating system. The computer works fine but I cannot connect to the internet

The best way would be to reformat the hard drive and reinstall windows. Make sure you have backups of any programs and files you want to keep and don't forget to reinstall your drivers. Download your network interphase card driver onto a flashdrive, external hdd, cd, etc. that way you can connect to the internet and download the rest of the drivers. Good luck.

Presario v2000 laptop will pick up my router wirelessly but will not go to internet explorer pops up internet explorer box saying send error report or dont send

Either explorer has been damaged, or has been damaged by a trojan/virus.
Download firefox or google chrome on another computer and install on your computer and run
If they have internet connection, you may need to uninstall/reboot/reinstall explorer
If they also fail, you most likely have a trojan or virus.
You may attempt repair yourself, but if you don't repair quickly, the trojan/virus may damage your system to the point you have to reinstall.
Please back up your personal files on a usb stick, or external drive before proceeding.
If this is the case, take it to a repair shop before more damage is done.

Well, What's a backdoor trojan? If i restarted or restored the pc

A backdoor trojan is a bad. They are a sort of virus with the capability of sending information back to the controller of it. It can be downloaded and can turn on without you knowing it and then it will follow whatever instructions it is given. The information it can send out is worse than any damage it does to your system. Passwords, bank info, credit card numbers. It can even email your contacts using your account.

System restore does record and copy these, and you need to turn system restore off during your scan and removal process. System restore does not allow virus software to remove these files.

First, update your virus program and then turn off your internet connection. Then turn off system restore by going to your control panel>System>and then click on the System restore tab, usually in the back. Close those windows and and start your virus scans. Follow the instructions after it locates the virus. If you have the option of deleting the virus, do that rather than put it in quarantine.

Since you have a program running that you don't even know about, it can certainly put a drag on your system and slow things down. Your Windows OS is so old, I can't believe it is still running. Congrats, everyone I know had a fatal crash by this time. If you need further help, please leave a comment. Thanks for your question.

No internet

Have you tried testing by bypassing your router and connecting your computer directly? If you were not able to connect, then your internet service provider should be contacted.
