1 Answer

Email address HI there, thanks for replying. My email address is and if you can find the manual it would be much appreciated. I think we figured out where the rinse aid pipe goes to, that and the other one seem to go straight into the detergent bottles and they have a weight on he end to help **** out the detergent/rinse aid. I look forward to hearing from you soon

I need to replace the plastic panel on the outside/top( which is the width of the dishwasher and approximately 5-6 inches high) of the dishwasher door on an Asko 1885 model. I ordered the piece from Asko...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

Having done work for Asko for many years I can tell you you're not going to find a technical service manual on-line for these machines because Asko does not release them.

I can, however offer you a complete illustration of all the machines components including the control panel, thus you should be able to interpret how the panel comes apart.

To address the issue of the entire outer panel coming off, it is easier that way in my opinion, but whether it is necessary I think is up for debate...I usually remove it when I service them.

The sections you are speaking of are indeed "snapped" into place with the exception of the latch assembly and relatively easy to remove from the back. Here is an example of the illustrations I can provide (I can also guide you thrrough the process since I have changed a number of them first hand)

Let me know if this may be of any use to you and I'll send it to you...though you need to post an email address with your reply if so. I'll watch for your reply.

Thank you for your help macmarkus im still unclear i have run the diagnostic test and thats how i got an error code of 1 so then my problem would be an aqua sensor, the only cycle that will finish is rinse...

Hello Vorlon,

Have you checked the current draw while in the test mode ? You'll need a "clamp on meter" ( a meter with a current coil ) It should draw about 11amps with normal heating.

The fact that the only cycle you've indicated finishes is "rinse & hold" only further validates a faulty control or heater, NTC, or flow switch. If it where just a aqua-sensor, it would have no effect on the cycles completing.

Actually It is not likely you would see any noticeable effect from just a faulty aqua-sensor, all it does is measure the amount of soil/dirt in the water and if it is faulty the cycle may be extended, but only slightly.

However if the heater relay in the control is bad, the heater itself, NTC ( negative temperature co-efficient hi-limit) or flow switch are defective, you will only get a current draw of around 105-2amps.

I have a more extensive service manual you are free to have if you think it may help you understand what I'm saying. You'll just need to provide your email address.

I'm in the process of setting up a link for folks like yourself who can make use of this technical info, but I'm not quite there yet...multi-media and pc's in general are not my forte !

I'll watch for your reply.

FYI, you could've posted a reply on your last post and I would've received an email directly from "fixya' letting me know you had replied, I hadn't known until I was on here looking that you'd posted a "new' post.

anyway, good luck.
