Hello,
You'll want to turn on "tuning mode" by pressing the button. Push the number preset you want to store it in, tune it to the station you want to save, then press and hold down the "memory set" button for awhile. The display should flash or some other indication that it is stored. When this is all done test the preset button by pushing it. If it stayed on the same station, it was successful.

I hope this helps.

HI
Try resetting the system . if this doesn't work.
"Service" is needed .
To clear the AVR's entire system memory including
tuner presets, output level settings, delay
times and speaker configuration data.

1: first put the unit in Standby by pressing the System
Power Control button
2. Next press and hold the Tone Mode button 8 for three seconds.
The unit will turn on automatically.
this will clear all the proccessor.
Note that
once you have cleared the memory in this manner,
it is necessary to re-establish all system configuration
settings and tuner presets.

Good luck
Kind Regards

Hi, I have a Harman Kardon AVR 300 that I picked up at a local sale. When I power it on, it switches fine to each input except the AM/FM tuner (the preset, tuning, & tuner mode buttons don't seem to...

AC (alternate current) receivers have amplifiers in them. Those amplifiers have capacitors in there. What the do is store massive amounts of electrons. What that means is if you touch one it will electrocute you. I have to recommend you take it to a tech to have this addressed. This is purely for your safety.

TEAC AG-V3050 FM reception was fine and then quit. Checked antena with no results. Internal component? Fuse?

If a unit turns on it isn't a blown fuse. Does the tuner give you indications that it is or is not tuning a station? Change the FM Mode to Mono. You should at least be able to hear FM hiss if the tuner is alive.

These resceivers have a bulit-in device to retain some electricity to feed backup memory. It can be a battery or a capacitor and I think they have reached their time to be replaced.

Hi Dude

Presetting channels for radio stations is generally all the same on most systems. Select the frequency you want and then HOLD IN the preset button you want until it locks to the frequency into the new preset. Good luck, and happy presetting :)
