Re: how to install pioneer DEH-2850MP stereo player
Shouldn't need to take out *too* much. I've changed the stereo in my last two Commodores.
Usually, you'd unclip the shifter-surround, which then exposes more screws for the DIN units. Undo those, and take out the ash-tray if it's nearby... eventually you'll get to the DIN mounting-bracket and be able to unscrew and unplug the existing headunit. Wiring and crimping the new unit into the existing wiring loom is fiddly, but you can buy adapters from Strathfield Car Radio to convert most popular brands to Commodore's/Falcons/etc.
A full guide with pictures is a bit much for this response, but that's the general jist!

is it a stock radio? or after market?
if it is an after market radio, you can contact the company that makes it, they normally have an 800 number and tell them you need the manual for that radio... they will mail it to you.
if it is a stock radio you will need to contact the car maker, ask the service dept. cause they will know..
