Take out the space bar button and change the position of the "sway bar" shown in http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/MS-Natural-Ergo-Keyboard-Sticky-Spacebar-Fix/index.html

There are 3 positions you can keep the sway bar - The middle positions worked for me and probably will work for you too.

SOURCE: REPLACEMENT PART

I don't think they sell keys, take one from another keyboard or replace the keyboard.

SOURCE: My Keyboard won't type on Word program.

It seems like your trying to type into a locked document, which means that your keyboard is working, its not the issue, the issue is the spesific file which is locked, try another document / file or turn off the lock from office settings if you can find it.

SOURCE: Microsoft 4000 Ergonomic keyboard - broken foot

they don't really make replacement parts for these, its not profitable just a small piece of plastic, you would have to create your own from metal or similiar, or use the keyboard without the feet, or replace the whole keyboard.

Hi there !

The best way to clean or repair your keyboard is by removing all the screws at the back of the keyboard. And you can clean that chip board and all the buttons as well.

The H, I, O and L keytop markings are worn away

i can give you a sensible suggestion; on a little piece of paper write out the name of the alphabet on it and stick it on the right key on your keyboard, till you finish assigning a key for the faded keys. Good luck

How do you disassemble a Microsoft Natural Ergo. Keyboard 4000?

as mentioned, there are more screws under the spacebar. The only way to safely get the spacebar off is to wedge a flat blade into the front centre of the spacebar and lever it off. If you try to pull or lever it from anywhere else you'll just snap something off it.
