hi, try these steps i am sure it will help you.. go to the control panel look for Printer and Faxes under Control Panel. Look for the printer icon that
shows in offline status. Right click 'Properties' and go to the Ports
tab folder. Select the Port IP address in question and click on
'Configure Port' button. Click on the check box next to SNMP [SNMP
status enabled] to remove the check mark and to disable the option.
Click OK on the Configure Port window. Click Close on the properties
window, after that close all the windows and try, this ma help.
If the printer status is offline it means that you are either A) not connected to the printer by USB/Serial/Parallel B) Connected to the same network as the network printer or C) The printer is not turned on with the approriate connection plugged into the printer/computer.
Go to your printer list (Start - Printers and Faxes or Start - Control Panel - Printers and Faxes). Find your printer, right-click on it and you should see an item named, "Use Printer Offline" or "Use Printer Online" in your list. If you click on that item, it will toggle back and forth between the two settings. If it's offline, it will say, "Use Printer Online". Also, the printer icon will be grayed out if it is offline.
check that the printer is turn on, if on turn it off and on again, secondly check by double clicking the printer icon on your pc start bar i,t will open a pop/dialogue box, click on file and see if the offline is tick if so disable the tick.
Some how someone has created, (Copy2). (It shouldn't be there at all nor a Copy1).
Only an icon of the HP PCS 1110 series & HP PCS 1110 Fax.
Let's try the easy way to fix this first!
Left click the Start button once & slide up to & left click once on Printers and Faxes.
Printers and Faxes window will open. Find Copy2 & right click on it once, slide to & left click Delete. (Copy 2 should go away)!
You still have an listing of an HP 1110 here in Printers and Faxes window.
Find the HP 1110 series printer from the list, right click on it once & from within the pop-up window left click, Set as "Default Printer". That should do it. Play it safe & restart the system.
